Right size finally!
The exact size I was looking for! I almost didnt get because of the negative reviews. I will say the first package was perfect so I ordered 3 more, same brand, same size, but I have found that these last three packages are more difficult to snap and hurt my fingers. Im a side sleeper so I havent been able to sleep with them all over my head. My hair is shoulder length. They do curl nicely, and the more hair you put, the looser the curl.

Easy to sleep on. Comfortable
I wanted a perm but didn’t want to commit yet. I bought these to try out a curly hairstyle. Plus they’re so nostalgic I had to bring back 80’s memories. They are just a cool as I remember. They go in easily and hold up over night with a bonnet on. Loved them , perfect for heartless curls . Easy to sleep on.

Falls apart
NOT GOOD LADIES! By the time I finally get my hair rolled, the end of the part that keeps the roller on comes out. It is flimsy plastic and just not worthy of trying to use. These are nothing like what you may purchase at walmart.

The only brand worth buying.
I was becoming very discouraged as I tried to find the sponge rollers I used to use in my hair. They were the only ones that I could sleep comfortably in and not worry about heat damage. Lately, though, every brand I bought had such cheap clips that the two halves would pop apart every time I tried to open them. I bought them in stores and I bought them on-line, even on Amazon, and they all seemed worthless. The foam seems pretty much the same on all the brands I tried, but those %^&* clips made them worthless. Then I discovered Annie's curlers here and recognized them as a brand I used to be able to buy in stores. I ordered two packs of the 1 1/4" rollers and they were perfect! The clips have lasted a couple of years now and they are still working just fine. I don't understand the people here who say they fall apart. They cost more than any of the other brands I bought but they are worth it. When the foam rollers eventually seem to be weakening, I buy a couple of cheap packages at a dollar store and swap the foam rollers onto my Annie's clips. I love them so much I bought a couple of other sizes to experiment with. I also bought extra sets of the 1 1/4" ones to save as backups but so far I haven't needed to use them. I love this brand and don't know what I will do if they are no longer available. I'm 76 years old and I don't want to have to start searching again!

Not a good Diane substitute
These are not a substitute for Diane 1.5" pink foam rollers. The Annie foam is not as dense as the foam used in the Diane product, and the rollers actually slide away from the scalp after proper rolling and closing of the clasp. I have fine, straight, long hair. I have used the Diane product for several years and know how to property wind and close a foam roller. I cannot get the body and volume I need from the Annie roller. I gave the Annie a 2 star rating because the clasp does not fall away from the inner stem. But this is not enough of a trade off for the lack of density in the foam itself to rate any more than 2 stars.

These work so well and don’t damage my hair like the Velcro rollers. The only critique is that that they’re not big enough even though this is the “extra large” size, and there aren’t enough of them in a pack! They make curling iron S shape curles really well, so I’ll use them for that, but I wanted them for volume originally and they’re just not big enough for that. I didn’t realize they offer a bigger size so I just ordered those, and I think it will be good to have both sizes

I roll large sections of air dried hair into foam rollers around the crown of my head and wrap a scrunchie around the cluster before bed. In the morning I have smooth wavy curls with no heat damage. Also good for the night before day 2 and beyond.

I guess you get what you pay for. Knew I was looking for something inexpensive, I’d use only once in a while…. These were really really flimsy…. couldn’t even roll them onto my hair and make them work once. I donated it to the Goodwill store.
