Great read
This is a great book to start on if you want to ease in to learning about Buddhism. Really enjoyed it.

I bought this for my husband but I received the gift
This is the first book I've read by Noah. My husband often attends his Monday night meditation gatherings.I bought all three books for him as a gift. I picked up, Heart of the Revolution and haven't been able to put it down. The first two pages, discussing our attachments to pleasure and avoidance of pain, could be daily reading. Obviously, these are not new thoughts in Buddhism, but they are reiterated in a simple and beautiful way.I'm familiar with the concept of letting myself and others off the hook. This book has pushed my old ideas of compassion aside and encouraged me to delve deeper into ultra-forgiveness.I love reading a book that challenges my old beliefs systems and raises the bar on spiritual concepts. In my experience, books that have that capability are few and far between. Grateful for the opportunity to grow and thankful for the material that inspires growth.

Had my doubts but....it's really quite wonderful
Many Dharma books have passed through my fingers and this one was a real surprise. I saw so much of myself in this book from the beginning. Not the good things either. So, the more I read the more I connected with the message. I had preconceived ideas about the author having read the cover of one of his previous books. Words like radical and revolution sounded like noise to reassure himself he wasn't conforming to typical buddhist way of teaching. I was completely wrong. In this book he's toned down the noise and is coming from real maturity. It's very different from other buddhist book in a very good way. Give it a try, seems like anyone would take away a few redeeming lessons just from turning the pages.

Finding your own revolutionary heart
If the idea of beginning to figure out who you might be when all the noise is removed intrigues you enough to actually try it; Then this book is as great a place to start as any other. Buy it and see.

hardcore Dharma
This is a very good book. An effective introduction to the Buddha's teachings in general and specifically to the development of positive emotion. I thought it was odd that it makes no mention of going for refuge to the three jewel, but maybe that is something which might not suit the secular audience for which the book was presumably written - and maybe for the author as well, for all I know. this is the first of his books that I've read. What does it say about me that I don't consider myself "secular"? The language used in the first few chapters is surprising and one recurring phrase I came across in my reading as somewhat elitist, but again, maybe that is the language of the book's target audience - whatever that might be. Overall, though, definitely worth the five stars.

True to your self
This book is inspiring to think for your self .Being "out of step with the world" but on the other hand fully in touch with life it self.If you look closely the only thing that is radical is the fact that you radical change your self. From the puppet you become the master of your life.

Brilliant
The third book by author Noah Levine. Really easy to read and understand the Buddhas teachings as set out in this book. Lots of instructions for meditating and I really felt the benefits that this book offers. Have started reading it again I liked it that much.
