I love this bedding for my hens and so do they keeps them lovely warm and dry.They love it in there nest box and bed and is a great for using in the entire coop.It smells lovely and is nice and soft it absorbs moisture and drys out very quickly.It leaves cleaning up there droppings easy as it sticks to them and makes it easy to be picked up.I have a hen who constantly sneezes when I use wood shavings hay or stray and I have no problems with this product at all.Using this product I know my hens are clean dry and warm and the value for money is great.With other products I have to clean my girls out weekly even when picking up droppings everyday.But with Dengie it’s every two weeks and if you pick up the droppings and give Dengie a rake through it still smells as lovely and fresh just like when you first open the package.This is a great product and will keep your hens happy and save you time with only having to use one product for the nest box, bed and flooring.

The best hay for chickens. I use this in their coop and for substrate for their run. They love digging and scratching and the pine smell is lovely but not overbearing, its really pleasant and reduces flies and odours for longer than any other chicken hay I have tried. Its my go to, and whilst being a little more on the pricier side for hay, its always worth it. Its packed in well so you know you are getting your moneys worth unlike some others that are looser in the bag. The large hay lasts me around 2 months and I've never had any random bits of string or plastic like in other bags. The hay is strong but not sharp which is good for the chickens but also my hands when im grabbing chunks of it with my bare hands to disperse in the run.

The moment it goes down, the whole place smells divine, like a spa for hens. Even the humans say, “Wow, that smells nice,” every time they open the coop. Yes there are cheaper options for bedding I agree....but....this stuff smells AMAZING (I have to shout and empathise how good it smells) and is worth the extra bit of money. Chopped nice and fine too. Highly highly recommend, but not so much that its out of stock when I want it haha! Buy it for my chickens, I have a big house and there's always plenty to go in the run too.

This is the best animal bedding I have found, we have used it for guinea pigs and chickens. It's cut quite short which makes it good for smaller pets and has minimal dust. It is also amazing value, highly recommend.

I've been using this bedding for my hens for a long time, and it's probably the easiest to handle of all beddings I've used. It's scented, which is a bit weird, but allegedly antibacterial, and, frankly, chickens don't seem to care either way. It composts quite fast, and is shockingly absorbent - if it's been wet enough there may well be a soggy layer at the bottom, but it will generally stay quite dry at the top. I haven't had any impacted crops from bedding consumption, though my hens love to move it around a lot so there's always a fair amount outside the chicken house. It's generally cut up pretty fine, which leads to my one problem with it (and most chopped-straw beddings, really), which is that during the summer when my hayfever ramps up, it's hot, the air is still and it's very dry, this stuff completely destroys me. It's also a little bit expensive, but overall it's the most pleasant bedding to actually use that I've experienced.

Love this bedding - it smells great and the ducks love it, Nice and easy to use and last a while it’s nice and soft which unlike straw my ducks really enjoy, The size of the bag is brilliant and lasts ages we just turn over what’s in there house its very effective for what they need. They don’t get caught up in it or drag it out . I buy this every time for our duckies as they love it so much . Fast delivery and never had it arrive damaged so very happy
