Excellent and easy to use.
Excellent! The gear aid tenatious tape worked perfectly. I somehow managed to get a 1/2 inch right angle tear in the bottom of my Acothat 4 inch thick, self inflating mattress. The tape fixed it very easily and appears to be working perfectly. To be fair, I haven't used it since I fixed it. But, before I fixed it, I had to pile a bunch of heavy stuff on it just to keep it from self inflating while I drove home. Since fixing it, I used my pump to deflate it completely and it hasn't puffed up at all. There is a bit of a bump right where the corner type tear is. So, I put an extra patch on top of it for some extra strength. I've since read that a drop of glue before patching would help this. But I don't think it's more than a very slight cosmetic issue. Also, I found that when I tried to put the patch on, according to the directions, with the mat deflated, it was too crinkly to get a good seal. So, I did the opposite and put the pump on to blow it up. As soon as the surface was smooth and firm, I put the patch on and quickly turned the pump off. I got a perfect seal that way. I'll never camp again without this tape in my emergency kit.

Does what it's supposed to do and does it exceedingly well
Just a bit of magic here. I bought some of this fabric tape back in 2017 to fix a tear in a down jacket. I still have that jacket, and the tape is still holding the tear in place, plus the color just blended in with the color of the jacket, so unless you know where it is, you really don't notice it. I used a piece of that old tape (you get quite a large amount of tape for your purchase, so I had a huge amount left over from all those years ago) last week to fix a 2-3" rip in a winter glove, and the tape still had all its original adhesive. I've worn the gloves several times since in this cold January weather, and the tape is holding just fine, and again it's almost impossible to see the tape since the color matched so closely.

Did a great job!
The tape is very durable. I got it in Platinum Nylon. I used it to repair holes and tears in the roof of my outdoor bench swing, which is some kind of canvas material. I was very pleased. I later ordered it in Sage Green, and it was much thinner, and flimsy. Although, the Sage Green looked like it would be durable as well, but not as durable as the Platinum Nylon, which is strange to me since they are the same price. When I worked with the Sage Green (outside), it was a bit breezy and that made working with it harder. Since it was thin and flimsy, it kept folding over itself, and I had to un-stick it from itself, which was a pain. Also, it didn't lie nice and flat and smooth like the platinum nylon. It had many wrinkles and buckles, which I didn't like the look of. But I suppose it will do the job of keeping the rips and tears from getting worse. The platinum nylon was thicker and seems more durable. It laid nice and flat and smooth when I laid it down. The platinum nylon is about as thick as duct tape. I wondered if I could just use duct tape and save myself some money (I spent a small fortune repairing this roof). But I read somewhere that duct tape is not meant for outdoor use because it's not waterproof. Anyway, I'm basically pleased with this tape. It could be cheaper though, since you only get one piece per package that is 20 inches by 3 inches. If you don't care about the color, I would definitely get the platinum nylon over the sage green. I can't speak for the thickness and durability of the other colors. Now, I'll see how long it lasts. I will update my review regarding this. UPDATE (10-20-17) Well, it's been 4 months since I repaired my canvas outdoor bench swing roof with this product and it is staying on beautifully! Both the sage green and the platinum. Not even the edges of the repair tape are fraying. And it's been outside in the elements the whole time (which really vary in Chicago). I also used some extra-strength heavy-duty duct tape to finish up repairing a few small tears, not wanting to spend the extra money getting more Tenacious Tape, thinking I could get away with it. Not so, the duct tape came off already, but not the Tenacious tape. I've decided that this product is worth the price. It looks like it will stay on forever. I upgraded to 5 stars.

Seems good but not for providing a water tight or air tight patch
Not working for my situation but the tape adheres well and should work for tears that don't require an airtight seal. I have a camping sleeping pad with nylon fabric on one side that has a few pinhole leaks. This tape covers the area well but air still seeps out. I need a different product or to pre-seal the leak then cover with this tape to protect the patch.

This stuff really works!
Wow! This stuff really works! I volunteer at a charity clothing closet. We get a lot of "gently used" sports wear. I have been able to repair rain-gear and leaky down jackets so they are almost good as new. The patch clamps on and does not let go, so make sure everything is completely flat and lined up with all the down fluff tucked in, because once the patch touches down it is stuck on tight and cannot be repositioned.

very stick and strong
very tenacious and sticky. I first tried the fake leather but the glue is very weak, so I tried this tape and realized that even though it is not a leathery / shiny surface, its matte finishes acts as an invisibility cloak to itself and hides fairly well.

Sitka Repair!!!
Had a mouse eat a hole on the inside of Sitka Incinerator Bibs. This tape is incredible! I wiped with alcohol as directed and it really bonded well. Super flexible. Very relieved.

Functional
Used this on a small tear in a black nylon jacket. It looks like a patch. Functional, but doesn't look good. Probably better for a sleeping bag or tent.
