Works WAY better than expected!
For a product in this price range, the results are UNREAL!Most people seem to have bought this because they had problems with gardens. I have never in my life seen a slug eat a plant in my garden, but they sure love the hell out of some dog and cat food. I work nights and it's hot here in the summer, so I feed the pets at night when it's coolest. Unfortunately, that is also when the slugs like to come out. Once the slugs get their nasty slime all over the kibble, my pets don't want it, and any that have tried to eat the slimy food immediately puked it right back up. I work hard for my money, pet food ain't free, and the slugs just kept getting fatter and more numerous. Something had to be done! So, I read reviews of a number of products, and settled on Sluggo because it had a high rating and was safe to use around pets and wildlife. The night it arrived, I sprinkled it everywhere I had ever seen a slug near my house. The front porch, the back porch, the steps, the sidewalk, the shed, and even the grass around these fixtures for posterity. The very next night, I didn't see a single slug. Not ONE!I have not seen a single slug since then, and this was a month ago. I applied it ONCE.ONCE.Exactly one time.Based on the reviews, I was expecting to have to wait days for them to still be slithering around before they died and then maybe having to set out some more to catch the stragglers. I got instant results. Now I'm wondering what to do with this mostly full container of Sluggo since the slugs around my house are now extinct.

It really works quite well!
Years ago I used diatomaceous earth to get rid of slugs and it worked great. This year, they have been quite bad again. When I would open a door every night and there were several on it, I finally said "that's it". I went for diatomaceous earth again but it only helped cut them down from about 100+ per night (visible at 11PM) to maybe 50-80 after several applications directly on the slugs (leaving white powder marks everywhere). So after some research and comments here, I tried Sluggo. I counted 40 slugs the night I put it out (it was not very humid nor wet out). A whole pound was almost enough to cover the places I needed. I have been seeing 3 or 4 slugs a night since the night after applying it and none in the areas of the doors where I had used more. It really worked well and I feel like I can once again walk outside at night without stepping on a slug or having one fall off the door inside the house. And the outside cat's food dish is no longer covered in slime each morning. I also dumped it directly in the nests when I knew where they were. I did not have any problems with the squirrels taking it like some others have, but I did see ants stealing it, which is perhaps why it was less effective in a few areas (I admit I don't see any on the ground after a few days). Recommended.

Does what its supposed to but creates mold when wet
This helped me curb the population of slugs that were eating my hydrangeas... But the issue I have is that I had no clue this stuff created mold within 24 hours of being wet. Anywhere I've spread this stuff, becomes mold if it rains, and I had mushrooms growing in the mulch for my hydrangeas. Also, don't leave it outside like I did, because apparently racoons like how this stuff smells.

OMG!
I've had a horrible snail infestation! I'd move dirt in my flower beds and find whole clusters of embedded snails. I'd find snails on my patio every day. They were climbing on my windows! I tried the copper mesh/tape, and nothing happened. I tried several bait products that didn't work. I even tried the beer traps. I made one last desperate attempt to get rid of these things. I researched this particular brand of Sluggo. These are pellets that snails are drawn to eat. They have no appetite after, so they starve. But my plants live! I only find the empty shells now. I'm getting tons of this Sluggo. I will always keep it in my beds. Research for yourself before you buy. I hope that if you choose to use this product, you'll get the same results as I have.

It does work, just be cautious how you apply!
The instructions you find on how to apply Sluggo differs, but the BEST way is to mix the pellets with water in a sprayer, and spray your plants/soil.Leaving pellets on the ground also works well to prevent slugs, however, other garden-destroying pests love to eat the pellets, like moles or squirrels. If you don't have any squirrels running around in your garden, you may be ok, but I'd strongly advise using the instructions involving the spray method, not simply pouring the pellets on the ground.

Worked Like A Charm!
I wish I had known of this product sooner. The plants in my planters were literally over run with slugs. It was not only disgusting to see them all over my plants as soon as night fell, but it was really sad to see them destroy the plants. I found this product after a little research. I used the product and after the very first night the slugs were gone! All of them! I couldn’t believe it. I will absolutely keep this on hand at all times. Great value!
