DAYUAN 14pcs Bearing Separator Puller Set, Heavy Duty 5 Ton Capacity 2 inch and 3 inch Bearings Splitters Puller Kit

This was bought for a single job - taking a pulley off a lathe to replace the belt. Without it, I was stuck. With it, the bully came off easily. The legs are long enough to reach past the bully as required, even if the shaft is long. Solidly made, feels like it will last a long time. I found it easy to assemble, and did what it was supposed to do - there were options for different ways of using it too. I hope I won't need it again, but it felt like good value for the one job, and will live next to the impact gun for the next thing I need it for.

This was ok with up to around 4 tons of force, but after that the edges of the circular pullers started to deform. The straight armed pull tools were pretty strong, but quite chunky for tight spaces. I had to grind them down to get behind the races on an S2000 differential. Got there in the end. A big improvement would be a finer threaded screw on the puller, as you can’t get enough torque using spanners or socket wrenches. Works ok with an impact gun though, but needs care (one dugga dugga at a time!).

I'm not a mechanic by trade. But, I do enough spannering that I need a range of tools. After reading the reviews about bending, I wasn't sure this bearing separator would be any good. I believe that some of the bending is down to user error and/or the nature of the tool. - it is well worth watching a video on to use it - YouTube. So far I have removed a front wheel bearing from a car that has been sat for 8 years. I used the clamp/separator in a hydraulic press. I have also removed a lower ball joint from a 13 year old Transit Connect. In my mind, it has already covered the price of the tool. A great purchase that I wish I had bought years ago.

Threads failed on the puller literally first time it was used. Even for 30 quid not worth it.

So I purchased this product to split the hub from the inside of the bearing for an e91 or E90 bmw , the bolts holding the splitter together bend slightly after using it just the one time so I do not believe the stated 5 ton capacity, also even the bigger splitter does not fit around it enough to actually close it, I managed to get the job done by using longer bolts purchased in a hardware store, over all the product itself is not bad and did do the job but I do not think it is as durable as stated.

Not sure how long it’ll last but it seems to be of a decent quality and unless you are using it several times a day every day I’d say you’ll get you r moneys worth out of it. I can see it being handy for a long time for me as it did the job of removing a landrover discovery propshaft centre bearing for me…. Don’t expect to apply massive amounts of pressure with the screw threads when using it to pull off a bearing but apply pressure the tap bearing with a suitable hammer to use shock as well and this tools will last well, in other words if not abused it will be fine 👍

I just needed this to remove some small bearings/rollers from a piece of exercise equipment and it worked just fine. There’s reviews on here saying it’s not heavy duty enough, soft metal, etc. This will probably be the only time I ever use this thing. I think for the average homeowner that uses this once in a blue moon, it’s perfectly fine. If you’re needing this on a regular basis for more heavier duty bearings, spend the money and get something from a reputable brand. It’s Chinese made but probably comparable to something you’d find at harbor freight. For the average homeowner this is fine.

This item helped get a stuck bearing race off but I did have to cut and crack race first because it wouldn't budge after being on shaft for 15years.Couldn't have got job done without this item though.
