So disappointed! I received the anti bark device this afternoon and immediately read the instructions, tested it - it responded exactly as the instructions said it should - and then placed it outside to stop my neighbor’s dog from constantly barking. I followed the directions by placing it no more than 5 ft high and as close to the dog as possible. In my case, that was on the wood fence separating our properties. I made sure to orient it so that the sound sensor was situated between a gap in the fence, fully unobstructed. Long story short, I’m listening to the dog bark it’s head off as I’m typing this, with absolutely no sign of stopping. The dog is *maybe* 6 feet away from the device, well within it’s supposed range, but it isn’t doing squat. I even went out and checked to see if the device was reacting to the barking, which it is - the red light on the front lit up every time the dog began to bark - but it’s still having no effect. Don’t waste your time or money on this thing - look elsewhere.

Neighbor has five little dogs. Two or three of them bark continuously when we are in our own yard. This also causes the neighbors to then just yell at the dogs to stop, but it does nothing to actually help. They are also small so they can slip right through the fence (not sure this thing will help with that! LOL.)They are good neighbors, not the type to hangout with, but they have a nice yard and are courteous for the most part. But the dogs barking (and neighbors yelling at them) drive me nuts. So I installed this on a tree facing the neighbors yard. Seems to be getting the attention of the barking dogs. Hope it eventually stops the incestuous barking and neighbors yelling at them... I will come back and give it a 5 stars if that happens!

We have five….yes FIVE dogs and sometimes when one of them gets wound up, they ALL get going and it can be LOUD!!! We got this to try out and I have to report we are 100% satisfied!!! This device emits an ultrasonic sound that quiets them when they start excessively barking. It’s compact so you can basically put it anywhere inside or out! The microphone isolates and picks up barking up to fifty feet away! It has various levels that you can “turn it up” if the barking continues! It runs on one, nine volt battery and really works!!!

Why wasn't I more aware of these anti-barking dog devices long ago? I had no idea these things even existed. Two years ago we had new neighbors move into the house behind us and they happen to own one of those completely annoying 'yappy, yappy' small dogs that constantly barks at anything and everything throughout the day. On top of that, the noisy creature has the habit of barking early in the morning usually around 0600 to be let back in after its early morning relief. The same scenario applies for the late evening around 2100 or later. For the most part, it sometimes take about half an hour or so of insistent barking before the owners finally let it back in. We want to be good neighborhoods, so we have never reported the nuisance. With the warm weather once more upon us, we want to keep our windows open and especially at night and simply suffer through the barking.I accidentally came across these anti-barking devices while searching for something else and after reading through all the reviews on the ones rated at four-stars or above decided to give the updated version of the Anti Barking Control Device, Ultrasonic Dog Bark Deterrent, Mini Sonic Anti-bark Repellent, Ultrasound Silencer No Bark Training Control Device Security for Dogs, Dog Anti bark a try. It took just two days to receive it, so after reading the instructions and installing the 9v battery, we anxiously waited for the yapper to start destroying the neighborhood peace and quiet about suppertime. Admittedly I was somewhat skeptical in spite of the reviews but when the dog yapped we initiated the device and were quite surprised when the small yapper let out a sudden yelp and ceased its yapping. We repeated the Pavlov dog therapy again the following morning with the same results. We are now very happy we purchased this anti-barking-dog device and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who's peace is constantly shattered by a neighbor's barking dog.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this device, but my dogs have only barked a couple of times since it arrived last night. When they have started, they stop almost immediately. I'm impressed, so far! If this keeps them from freaking out when the neighbors are in their backyard, it will have been well worth the money and I'm already considering getting another one to keep inside the house or in the garage.

Wow!!! My two dogs moved from country life to suburban life and no matter how I tried, I just couldn't seem to consistently keep them from barking like the world depends on their making lots of noise. We've lived here for two years now and their barking bit hadn't warn off (as I'd hoped it would). I was hesitant to consider shock collars, but I feel like such a bad neighbor at the same time. I saw this little box on sale and read the good reviews so I thought I would give it a try... especially since it doesn't cause pain to my pups. Boy oh boy, it's been one whole day, 24 hours of blissful quite. I am so shocked. I guess I thought it would take awhile before my furry friends caught on, but it didn't. I can't speak towards battery life yet, but my hope is that this little box helps my dogs form better neighborly habits and that I won't need to keep putting batteries in it at some point. Observing, my dogs are not unhappy, shaking or scared, they still play out side, don't seem hesitant to use their doggy door, but they are also not barking either. I couldn't be happier! The box is quite small from what I had expected, so I simply placed it in a little nook by my back door where it would be unnoticed. I am so glad I made this purchase (guessing my neighbors are as well). Love this!!! *Update-Well, this worked great at first but then the batteries began to run out in less than a week and that just makes it too expensive to keep up with. Moved on to other options that helped.
