ProrasoShaving Foam, Moisturizing and Nourishing for Coarse Beards, 10.6 oz

I bought this for a friend, so I can’t personally comment on the performance. He just asked me to add it to my cart while I was ordering something else. From the first impression, the size of the product is really generous for the price. And since my buddy keeps ordering it more than once, I guess it does the job well!

This is definitely a good quality shaving foam nice, thick, and rich stuff. I personally couldn’t get past the smell though……supposed to be a sandalwood I think. I thought it was terrible and ended up gifting it. Scent is highly subjective though so I still recommend this as a high quality product just not my “cup of tea.” If you live in the US stick with Barbasol. The scents are much better and the quality is the same if not better for a fraction of the price(I’m sure some of the price for the Proraso is import tax). This is basically Italys Barbasol so expect high quality……as all Italian shaving products are. Minus one star only because the scent was not to my liking, but don’t let that deter you if your looking for a nice shaving foam with a different scent this may be the one for you.

This is the best shave cream I’ve ever used, I’ve been shaving for 35 years. I’ve tried/used almost every type of shave product. Creams/gels/powder/soap with a brush(I don’t like that btw, using a brush-it’s a waste of time and cumbersome) long story short, I’d been using regular barbisol for a few years up until recently- spring’24,& it works well for me, but I bought this proraso on a whim being that I’ve never been disappointed before by Italian products. Been using it for Three months now, & I get a smooth clean shave each time, BARELY a nick or cut if any, & it moisturizes my skin. It’s really thick and creamy. It smooths over your face very well, also, in some reviews some people say they don’t particularly like the scent, I love it. It’s fresh, not that strong, and it actually wears off, it doesn’t linger too long and get annoying. I say try it!

I love All Proraso Products. If you enjoy mixing or whipping up your own lather ? No problem. For me, I do not find any advantage by doing so. I Love can Shaving Foam and I do use a Safety Razor. I love Proraso Green and the Red. Excellent. I like Barbasol Soothing Aloe, But Proraso raises the Bar. Try the Proraso can foams and you will agree.

I am have been wet shaving for 12 years. I have used all types of soaps and creams for my daily routine. I find it easier to use a canned foam spray for shaving other body parts. I decided to give this a shot because I like the Proraso shaving soap. It feels very similar to whipping up your own lather with their soap products. It also has the same scent as their other products. There are 2 negatives.1. The can is WIDE. I have used other canned foams in the past and this is the widest one of them all. I could not store it in my normal location. I had to store it under the sink rather than my medicine cabinet.2. The foam is not thick like other brands. I find that I use more foam when shaving than I was expecting.If you are a Proraso user and like their soap then I recommend using this option if you are looking for ready made product.

I can't say I was particularly fond of this shaving cream, but I didn't find it to be terrible either. It did a decent job of lubricating my face, but certainly no better than any of the Gillette Shaving Gels. Color me not impressed.The foam is a nice thick consistency. I liked that! But it didn't stay thick once you spread it on your face; it became watery and no better than Barbasol in terms of viscosity.What I really objected to was the tired, old, smell. It conjured up images of a man in a powdered wig. It's that icky, old man, powdery hair tonic smell. I mean, it is 2025--Proraso, if you are reading this, it is time to update your scent profile. Better yet, add some more emollients to the product and leave out the fragrance, which does nothing but aggravate the skin.It wasn't the best. It wasn't the worst. It's just and outdated product in need of an overhaul-- from can to content.
