Didn't think Jim's exciting life could get any better than he had in the first book, but his adventures multiplied in this compassionately outstanding portrayal of old western justice!
Certainly five stars worthy, as Jim returns home to prepare for Sue and Jake, only to find he has been removed from his own ranch by an adjacent ranch baron. This is a fast moving rendition of realistic old American western folklore that is fast moving, involving kidnapping of Sue, his intended, and her caretaker, as they travel to unite with Jim. During the interim, Jim meets with the local Sheriff, who is in the pockets of the land baron, Dan Dexter and his associates!Outstanding storylines throughout this compelling western masterpiece, and Mr. Wood continues with his successful selection of characters, as they continuously fulfilled their assigned roles to perfection. Too, Sue is kidnapped by two of Dexter's gun slicks, but this is unknown by Dexter! Wesley, Dexter's son turns the table on these two, by getting his Dad invoked in the rescue of Sue.Definitely recommend this compassionately motivated and exceptionally entertaining revelation of how one may perceive our old American West was finally tamed. You dyed in the wool western lovers will find yourselves as I was, unable to put the story down until the final word has been read! Even you non-western fanatics will definitely enjoy following Jim, and his associates, as they bring justice, once more to their beloved area of responsibility! Happy trails!!!😃

Reasonable
Not to bad a book and quite an interesting story about it but it seems that just lately no author likes to give a descent ending
