Riveting story!
… but one must truly suspend belief to accept the story’s ending. Nonetheless it is vintage Frey and McGray - most entertaining.

One Way to end a tale
I have read the entire series of the Very and McGray books and followed the linking story line though his sister's ordeal . This last book ties up some lose ends but left other dangling in the wind , however all of the stories are great and make for an excellent fantastic series . I would like one more book to answer some of the sort line but sometimes the best ones end with a bit of a twist . To get the full effect you must read all of the books in order but each individual book is also good on its own

You've gotta read this book
I love this author's books, I'm really hoping they'll be made into movies because I want all those people who don't read books to meet and love Inspector Frey and Nine Nails McGray as much as I do. This book, just like the previous books in the series, are so good that I'm instantly hooked.

THAT CLIFFHANGER
The Dance of the Serpents - 5/5By Oscar de MurielWow. This book took me a while to finish because I just didn’t want to say goodbye to Frey and McGray until 2022! Upon finishing the book, I wish I hadn’t started it. That cliffhanger. That cliffhanger is just evil.I have read all 6 available books in just under three weeks and I have to say this is the best series I have picked up for years!Frey and McGray are the crime fighting duo you didn’t know you needed in your life.I am really looking forward to reading the last instalment in this series.

Disappointed
I've loved these stories and characters and have read the series of books avidly and anticipated this book was going to be a good, exciting, un-put-downable read as the others were. But sadly it didn't deliver for me. It seemed laboured, repeatable and the not with the same depth. It was confusing at the beginning and I'm three quarters of the way through and I've lost interest, still have no idea where it's going, apart from the usual threats to the two main characters (predictable) and I've put the book down and not finished it. Which would never have happened with the others. It's lost it's tongue in cheek humour too. I laughed out loud in some places on the first couple with the banter between the two main characters. That's missing in this read. I'm really sorry to have to write this but it's only my opinion. Others may love it.
