Fresh, robust flavor, try it!
Fast shipping. Bought based upon great reviews - the were accurate. Coffee was received ~2 months after roasting date, and the medium roast was as good as any dark roast we've purchased previously, better than most!

Dark roast
Quite dark, shiny beans, slightly oily, but no burnt smell. They did not seem sticky, so I am using them in my coffee maker and have not had any problems. This is a darker blend than I usually get, but it is not bitter. It will make an excellent cold brew this summer.

Not for Espresso
I'm Italian, I love a good dark espresso with cocoa notes, I'm a fan of Caffe Borbone and I think most American espresso beans are too light and acidic. BUT here the pendulum went way too far in the opposite direction, these beans are over-roasted, almost burnt! It works for a latte or cappuccino, but avoid for espresso unless you love notes of licorice, tar and wood.

A Solid, Traditional Choice for Daily Espresso
Iโve been trying to find a solid, everyday coffee bean for my espresso machine that actually delivers a classic Southern Italian profile without charging specialty cafe prices. I decided to order this 2.2 lb bag of Caffรจ Borbone Miscela Blu because itโs a standard Arabica and Robusta blend that promised a strong, traditional cup. My main expectation was to get a thick crema and a dark, low-acidity flavor that holds up well when mixed with milk for my morning lattes. After running a few batches through my grinder over the last couple of weeks, it mostly met what I was looking for. The biggest pro is the crema and the overall body. Thanks to the Robusta content, this blend creates a remarkably thick layer of crema on top of the shot, which gives it a rich, heavy mouthfeel. If you use it for cappuccinos or lattes, the flavor doesnโt get drowned out by the milk. It definitely leans toward dark chocolate and toasted nut notes with very little to no sour acidity. In terms of value for money, the bag is huge and relatively inexpensive, making it a highly practical option for a daily driver if you drink multiple cups a day. On the negative side, these beans are dark and notably oily. If you use a fully automatic bean-to-cup machine, the oiliness can sometimes make it tricky to get a consistent grind, and it requires more frequent cleaning of the hopper so things don't get gunked up. Also, because it's a traditional dark roast, the flavor profile is pretty straightforward. If you are into light roasts with complex, fruity, or bright notes, this definitely isn't the style for you; it has a heavy, slightly smoky finish that some might find a bit simple. I've been using it every morning for standard double shots and iced lattes. It does exactly what a traditional Neapolitan blend is supposed to do. Overall, it matched my expectations for a straightforward, heavy-bodied dark roast. Itโs not going to redefine the coffee world, but itโs a reliable and cost-effective option for anyone who likes a strong, low-acid cup.

My favorite coffee in the world and I no longer have to cart bags back from Italy!
My favorite coffee in the world! Previously I'd bring bags back with me from Italy each trip. Amazed to find it available here and at a very reasonable price!! It's best as expresso as intended but works perfectly well in a standard drip coffee maker. Now I never need to drink inferior coffee just because I live in America!

Espresso taste off and the shots pull horribly.
Iโve been purchasing this coffee for years and this most recent batch tasted off. I noticed that the beans looked a lot smaller as well. It is extremely difficult to pull a decent shot. The shots come out Very inconsistent and have a bleaching of the cream. Iโve worked in coffee all my life and I am international certified espresso sommelier. I know the Coffee market is having some difficult times, especially when it comes to sourcing us to Coffee. That Is my only explanation. Iโll try one more time, but I will switch brands.
