For aluminum battery tabs you’ll need a very hot iron, large tip helps keep heat stable for quick solder joints, the flux is the important ingredient it seems and you may be able to use the flux with your normal solder if the included solder isn’t too thick. Will mess up your tips and they’ll will need to be cleaned and re-tinned to get them back to normal but that’s just how this kind of flux is. You get a whole lot of flux and a large syringe for dispensing it. It’ll probably last me a lifetime for the small joints I’m using it for.

Excellent product. Works fantastic on aluminum-copper LiPo battery tabs. Where solder would not adhere using conventional solder paste, this product made solder cling to the tabs right away. Caution - it will ruin your soldering iron tip so use one that you can part with after soldering.

It took some practice, but save me on a new refrigerator evaporator that I bent and broke. Soldered copper to aluminum with little problem. It did not tin quite like silver solder. Had a small leak and had to re-solder, but all seems OK now.

Works good , saved my ass on a pinhole in a arctic cat rear radiator That the geniuses incorporated into the entire frame of the machine can’t just buy a radiator you have to buy the whole tub and radiator together $1500. So as far as I’m concerned best thing since sliced bread.

Did not perform as advertised .Used up the entire roll of solder and the aluminum /copper tube joint still leaks.Kinda difficult to request a refund after using up the product. I will just know not to order any more

I used this product to make connections to the aluminum tabs on a Tesla 3 battery pack.The product worked, but left pinholes like others have observed. I had some other good aluminum solder that was flux core and worked ok, but when I paired this flux with the good solder, it worked great.

I didn't know there was a special flux just for soldering aluminum. But there is. And, this kit includes that flux.Before I got this kit, my solder joints on LiPo batteries were hard to get right. Now (using this flux) I can easily solder copper wire to the aluminum tabs on the batteries.Works very well !

Got a instant hot water heater with a blow out in the line. Had an AC guy weld it. It blow out instantly. Bought this stuff and used as directed. Have had no problems with it. Good as new. Amazing stuff.
