This leash is exactly what my dog needed as we are rehabbing a behavioral issue. My dog is off the scale on the cuteness factor and people just don’t understand that he is painfully shy. This leash gives us enough time to explain to somebody his situation, and they understand.

I have a rescue with a cute face and walking him made me incredibly anxious which in turn made him even more reactive. This Leash has made it so I can walk down the street without worrying people coming up to "pet the cute puppy". Couldn't be be happier.

I love that this leash helps let people know my dog needs space. I just wish it had a hook near the handle for a poo bag holder.

I love this short lead. It’s the perfect length for my dog. I use this when training inside the home. It’s short enough that she can wear it while inside the house in case I need to grab her quickly, without it dragging on the ground. My only complaint is I wish the lettering was bigger and bolder.

I have had many comments about this leash, manly a 'thank you' so that people know I have a nervous rescue dog, rather than a barking twat.The leash is well made and sturdy, with a padded comfortable handle.

**updated** Just wanted to add that I am still using this leash, 5 years later. Such great quality and hands down one of the best purchases made for our dog. While our pup is nicely socialized now he still doesn't like people other than us petting him and this still stops 95% of it (the other 5% is just people being people and ignoring it) **This is just what we needed. We adopted a rescue dog who had some issues socializing. He's really cute and small so people just come right up to him or bend over to pet him without checking to see if it was ok first. We also live in an area with a ton of other dogs and it was really surprising how many people would just let their dogs run up to ours without checking to see if he was friendly or if it was ok. This pretty much has stopped that, not 100% but to the point where most people give us some space. It has given me the opportunity to train and socialize him at his pace. The leash is also really well made & I like the bright yellow color for walking at night.

We are very happy with this leash so far. It's holding up really well to fresh water (streams, ponds, etc.). The lettering is not coming off so far; hopefully this will continue to be the case. It seems to be really well made. It's made of a thicker nylon material, which we like. The lettering is on BOTH sides of the lease, which is great if the leash twists...people can still see it.With three dogs, this leash gives us peace of mind when traveling, or walking our dogs. People no longer ask if they can pet Bella, because of the leash. They will only ask if they can pet the other two. Sometimes, Bella will go up to the people, or other dogs, and they might ask if it's okay to pet her at that point, and the answer is usually yes. She is not an aggressive dog, just weary of strangers and other dogs because of her breeds (Catahoula Leopard/American Eskimo cross). Both of those breeds are known to be weary, so she gets the best of both worlds (not!).

I thought this item could have been a little better fabric for the price of the item. The edges are rough on the hands

It's a shame they don't do these in a slimmer lead. My rescue Chihuahuas are very reactive, due to not being socialised when they were young. These leads are too heavy to use for such small dogs. I will try the other options provided by this company.

Several people said they would have approached but lead told them it's best not to.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this leash. It seems sturdy and substantial, and I love the padded handle. have used this once since getting it, and it actually helped! I took my parents 6mo reserved puppy (a naturally reserved breed) to a pet store, and most people saw her and the leash and kept their distance (despite the aweeee how cute comments I heard in passing). A couple people still slowly tried to introduce themselves, which she wasn't a fan of, but because they approached slowly and at her level she was slightly more accepting of their interaction. May consider getting the harness or a vest as well just to really make it obvious haha.
