I turned this on when I stepped out of the car at the airport. I took off the device for security and put it in a zip-lok that I brought just for this purpose. To do that, I disconnected the air tube at the device and tucked the end of the tube inside my mask which stayed on my face. Got through security, stopped and immediately put the device back on, left it on for the entire flight until I was inside my rental car at the other end. When I moved my mask aside to have a cup of coffee and a bite on the plane, I left the mask hanging on one ear so that clean air was still blowing. Do try it on at home and get your setup for how you are going to wear the device. I initially had it slung across my chest, fixed near the top. Once I was on the plane, I found that I was a lot more comfortable with the stretchy belt I'd chosen just wrapped around my middle, up high, like a high-waisted belt. That was super comfortable. Also, this will only run on high for 4-5 hours I believe it is, so I also bought a power brick, brought proper cable, and ran it off the power brick when its own power ran out. The seller has stated in Questions/Answers that it is ok to run it off a power brick. But, there is a limit on the size of a power brick you can bring on an airplane. Check on that limit to make sure they will allow yours in your carry-on. I had way more power than required. I also hung a negative-ion generator from that same belt, next to the device. So I felt very protected. And as I have asthma and can get a bit panicky wearing a mask, this device allowed me to be 100% comfortable and happy with my mask setup. Amazing comfort with cool breeze inside my mask. Last, what convinced me to try this were the videos from the surgical nurse and the dentist (his video is on the original, aluminum version-- but buy this plastic one, it's an improvement). They were 100% right on about the benefits of this device.

This is my third one I lost my 1st one. I now keep one in the car and one at home so I am always ready. They make breathing easy when wearing a mask and I have used it with many different masks. I simply put the correct size hole in the mask and attach the hose with the supplied connector. They recharge many times without issue.If you need to wear a mask this makes it much more tolerable.Highly Recommended

CaveatsNot designed for viral protection . Powered air creates positive pressure that amplifies all face masks fatal flaw, unfiltered exhalation leakage. So wearer gets gobs of filtered air , but increases exposure risk to those around you. We try to mitigate this and minimize leakage with simple modifications that will work to improve any mask.Tighten mask to face with any mask frame, home made bracket frame made from 1/2" garden ties, and most efficent 8-10" cut off nylons panty hose used over entire mask.Close any gaps 3/8 closed cell foam adhesive weather stripping applied to inside edge especially around nose piece.We add standard mask exhaust valve with filter material fixed to inside of valve to provide lower bypass pressure. any mask with exhaust valve should have filter material fixed to inside. Otherwise it is just a virus concentrating and aiming device.All brands claim h13 hepa filter. Some have niosh or china certification print on filters. We add layer of Merv 16 Filti face mask material from filti.com or any of electrostatic melt blown polypropelene available here on amazon on top of hepa filter. Setting aside filter QC issues, non compliant materials , or unseen defect to these tiny hepa filters we consider this an imperative redundancy for viral filtration. It probably brings filtration to N99 level and reduces air flow volume 10-15%.We have been modifying all 4 brands of these for mask intolerant, exercise demand, and high exposure users.There is little functionality difference between brands. The airdog has round shape and also makes a small desk top unitThe simple advantages,The models with KN95 mask fit most faces very well.great fresh air source for smoke and pollutants out of boxgood experience with battery life, component quality, adequate airflow up to moderate exercise.these make a great adjunct without tubing worn around neck blowing filtered cooling air while wearing a normal mask underneath a face shield.All materials except Filti nano filter material available on amazon. an inventive negative/positive electric demand valve would make these a life saver for frontliners who deserve a lot better than a cotton bandana.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I had to on this one. I bought this mask/filter fan for cutting grass. I get bad sinus infections. It’s too hot in Bama in the summer to just wear a mask. This thing keeps most of the dust out and actually keeps your face cool. I used it yesterday to bushhog 30 acres. It worked 8hrs straight on medium setting and is still going without a charge. Probably could have ran it on high. Would definitely buy again. I washed out the filter and will do that a few times but I also order extra filters.

works alright, after a few hrs of run time the fan started getting louder and was quite annoying. doesn't sound right now.
