A Recipe for Fun
As a speech/language pathologist I'm always on the hunt for childrens' books that excite and engage young students with natural functional and fun language! Someone's In the Kitchen with Grandma hits all the marks: simple straightforward language beautifully sequenced, rich vocabulary and small personal details like measuring spoons in the shapes of hearts! The pictures take up the whole page with minimal and effective text. I use this story as an introduction to a modified cooking lesson with a groups of language delayed preschoolers; the story inspires the kids to share their favorite foods, cooking experiences and how much they love their grandmas! From language arts to math concepts this book offers a great learning experience to all pancake lovers!

Someone's Making Pancakes with Grandma is a must read with your favorite little person.
Such an adorable book to share with a grandchild, daughter or son or with children at school. As we read it I thought to myself,"What a shame that many children think pancakes come out of a box in the freezer section of a chain store." A must to add to any children's book collection.

A sweet book for kids -- and their grandmas!
This is such a sweet book for kids (and their grandmas)! I'm excited to give it to my mom, who enjoys cooking on a regular basis with her grandson. The book also contains an educational word list and a recipe, which looks delicious!
