I am an idiot
I bought this “Word A Day” calendar for my teen daughter for Christmas. She was thrilled! Her first desk calendar ever!Fast forward one month…She says, “I think that calendar is jinxed.”Me, “Why is that?”14 year-old, “Well, first of all it’s a 2021 calendar…”I completely didn’t hear what else she said because…WHAT? I bought my daughter LAST YEAR’S CALENDAR, (a 2021 calendar) for Christmas 2021?So yeah, I sure did. So it’s a good idea to pay attention to what year calendar I’m buying because who knows? I might accidentally buy a 1990 Word Calendar next time!So the calendar is great and the word lessons are great! It’s just….old.Now, why they are selling old calendars on Amazon is beyond me but hey, if you’re living in the past, this one is great!

Best word-a-day calendar ever.
I bought this calendar last week for $8 and I also purchased another one on Amazon just to see which one I like better. Well, the $14 one is awful and this little $8 one is awesome! It has the pronunciation for the word, definition, and a sentence using the word, which I love. If that's not enough, when you turn the page over it gives you etymology, history, and/or fun facts about the word! I really like this calendar so much better than the ones that just have the definition and that's it. I'm much more likely to remember words when I'm given context, examples, and/or something interesting about the word!

Words I don't know!
This is a great calendar for those of us who want to add to our vocabulary. Mind you, if you try to use some of these words in day to day conversation be prepared for that blank stare of incomprehension or the curt nod signaling the knee-jerk "you're such a not-one-of-us" reaction. I'm old and I love to learn new words. This calendar not only gives you the words and definitions, but the etymology and examples of usage through history. It's just fun.

Love Learning
The media could not be loaded. Loved my calendar! Wish I would have bought it in the beginning of the year. Everyday has one word - it’s pronunciation- and definition. On the back it always has a few interesting facts on the origin of the word and what language it was derived from or how it’s meaning has changed over the centuries. Great buy!

Says page a day and isn't
Why say its page a day when its two entries in some cases to a day? I's have bought a page every other day calendar if I had wanted that!!!

Disappointing
Really disappointed in this. Bought it as a gift for my mother but the words are all very basic. Better suited to a 10 year old learning English
