We researched many other awnings before purchasing this L Series from Advaning. It was expensive, but exceeded our expectations from the moment we opened the package - which was very, very substantial. Installation was smooth and as described in the manual and the product video. We loved that everything was preassembled. Many other brands that we researched required extensive assembly. All the hardware is very substantial and hardware was supplied for many different applications depending on the location or material of the structure. The fabric is top quality and we expect many years of service. It's great not to have the side bars for support. It allows for total unobstructed access. The ability to adjust the pitch of the awning is also a great feature. There was a small end cap that was cracked during transit. When I contacted Advaning their customer service acknowledged the problem and has shipped the replacement. We plan on at least 2 more Advaning awnings in the near future. I can't think of anything the manufacturer could have done to make it any better!

I’m not one who writes many reviews but occasionally when I’m pleasantly surprised I make an exception I’m a contractor with a little experience Awning frame is plenty sturdy and powder coated. The install definitely tak s a couple sturdy people but it’s very straight forward. Even the attachment hardware is good quality. My one regret is not buying the motorized version It.cranks just fine but it takes a little elbow grease to retract it. My guess this frame would hold up well if left open in moderate wind but I expect the arms could get a little torqued but as I say pretty sturdy arms to it

Good value, reasonable instructions, half the cost of s..setter, almost as good. Install requires careful measurements to match standard 16 inch pitch studs. In the 10 x 8 awning I had only 3 inch left right adjustability to locate the mounting brackets and hit studs. Very sturdy and bit heavy, cranks out easily, harder to retract compared to our 14 by 10 s..setter but got better when I pulled out plastic tape covering around the arms that was jammed into the moving arm ends. Should have got the motorized version.

This is a great awning and very competitively priced, especially compared to the other expensive awning company that would have cost twice the price of Advaning Awnings. I purchased the tan 10' W x 8' Deep (Extension). I posted before and after pictures. It was delivered just prior to the Christmas holidays and I got it mounted today with this incredible weather in Kansas. The installation was a piece of cake! You do need a second person to help lift it onto the mounting brackets, but that took two minutes. Highly recommend this awning!

purchased to provide shade in my small backyard near the ocean. I installed on a wall that had been erected to hold a metal decorative panel that is backline at night. The awning provides shade over 2 love seat sofas. Centered between the sofas, against the metal panel wall, is a beautiful water fountain. The Awning was easy to install with complete instructions provided in the packaging. I decided to add an additional bracket to give more stability, but it was unlikely necessary. I had 4 posts to hold the awning, so each post got it's own bracket. I made 2 additional brackets to hold the awning temporarily (see photos). They just helped me install the awning with the help of my son. The awning "reaches" all the way into the courtyard, covering both sofa's easily. The bonus is that I can raise and lower the front pitch to give maximum headroom, or drop it down far enough to make it easy to clean with a garden hose. So far, so good!!! Larry

Amazon’s chosen shipping company has been unreliable. This is an expensive item. Stated it was delivered when it wasn’t & we have been given the run around by the shipper since the delivery date.

Just installed my awning and can say all the materials used are very high quality. This thing won't break, bend or wear out. Went up easy with the help of a friend because of its weight (12' awning). Just make sure to measure correctly for your brackets (I measured about 3 times) and used the enclosed lag bolts to secure them. Am using it to keep the rain off my patio furniture. Will use it also in the summer to protect the furniture from the suns rays.

After looking through the internet for the names and prices of many sellers of awnings we came across one that was better and less expensive than the rest. Not only for those reasons but most of all because Jesse from Advaning was always there to answer our questions. Advaning though Amazon came out to be the winner. We purchased a 12x10 manual luxury L awning. It is beautiful and perfectly made. Amazon delivered it in the exact time they said it would. My husband and son put it up in just a matter of an hour or so without a hitch. The instructions are very well written and informative. All in all it is just what we wanted with vivid green and white stripes. Thank you Advaning, Amazon and especially Jessiei!!!!!!
