Marmot Groundhog Woodchuck Stuffed Animal Plush Yellow Bellied

I purchased this marmot for the office. At just under 12 inches tall, he is the perfect size to stand proudly alongside other books and display pieces on the bookcase in my cube without having to hunch down or bend over, but is light enough to be deployed kinetically elsewhere in the corridor as needed. His tail helps keep him standing upright, event when tucking items under his arms (which are sewed to his side). It looks like you can cut the string that holds his arms down, but, as a stuffed animal, he can't take notes, answer the phone, or prepare powerpoint slides, so for now, I've left him as is. His soft fur provides a calming, tactile sensation, perfect as an occasional welcome distraction from internecine, intra-departmental struggles. I'm working on a "post-it note" sized placard or sign that he can carry or wear around his neck on which I could write the day's priorities, but for now, he functions as a silent companion. My only concern is that my daughter may come to the office one day and process a transfer to an alternate location. I looked at several different stuffed marmots on Amazon and in my opinion, this one is the best - and a great value.

I bought this stuffed groundhog for my girlfriend to help her overcome her fear of groundhogs. I had hoped to get it prior to Groundhogs Day, but this and all other plush groundhogs were sold out. Fortunately, this became available soon after. As for my girlfriend, she’s named him Greg and I’ve so far received a half dozen photos of Greg wearing various outfits or squirreling away Easter candy (wondering if real groundhogs actually do that). At any rate, I thinks Greg had been very helpful. I should also mention that her daughter had grown quite attached to the groundhog and has threatened to take him away to college with her. I recommend this groundhog to anyone with a fear of groundhogs ...and even kids to add to their stuffy collection. It’s fur is soft and would make a good bedtime companion!

This is going to make a super cool gift for my Mom for Mother's Day but it misleads you in the description when it says 14". It does actually say it is 14" from the tip of the tail to the head but seriously, who is going to stand it on the end of his tail? I gave it 4 stars because they should have just said the critter was 10 1/2". I would have still bought it but hey.... One other thing, the paws are sewed to the sides of its belly and not sure why. I was going to have it holding the Mother's Day card but guess not. My folks has groundhogs in the backyard and like to watch them.

I bought this Marmot because I needed it to pass for a Ground Hog and it did just that. Totally versatile and fooled everyone. I also said it was a Woodchuck and no one second guessed me. They completely went with it. I’m confident I can make my boss think it’s a prairie dog. He’s from Algeria or something like that and I’m sure they don’t have these over there but I’m sure if i said it was a meerkat he would call me out on it. So yeah I’m going to stick with prarie dog.

He is very cute and lifelike, but he is only 10 inches tall. He is very soft. I wish he were taller and just bigger around. His arms are tacked down, but this could be undone so that they can move. The price was good.

Ordered as a surprise Xmas Gift for my husband- he buys himself everything he wants here on Amazon, so figured this would be fun. He seemed agitated at first there was another plush toy, but he very soon loved him and is now named Sir Charles. Some fur will come out of the seams, guess the factory in China not high quality, but overall design/personality of Marmot very good. Something to try: Marmot Whistle videos on YouTube

He's nice and tall. Super soft and cute. The only problem is his wee lil ear is sewn on a bit crooked. But he's still adorable. Super stuffed too.

I purchased this item to be a mascot for a new wine that our winery created to benefit the Olympic Marmot Survey Project. The stuffed marmot is very soft and cuddly as well as being quite realistic. Chateau Marmaux has a great mascot!
