Great for pet hair and cat litter on hardwood
This is a great choice as the lowest price laser-mapping option out there. I don't think you can find a better performing robot with these features, at this price point. This vacuum works very well with the hardwood floor attachment for cat hair, litter, and dust bunnies. I don't have any carpeting, so I don't know if it's any good for that. Once it's set up, it's pretty much autonomous and doesn't need babysitting. It hasn't gotten stuck and navigates around furniture and chair legs very well. Dips in floor levels aren't a problem -- such as thresholds between rooms. It gets at corners pretty well, but sometimes I notice some missed debris in a few corners. Check out "vacuum wars" on youtube to find in-depth reviews of this model and others. The battery drains about 50% for a 750 sq ft apartment. So I estimate it could do a 1500 sq ft place on one charge. But if it runs out of power mid-clean, it will charge and finish up later, so it's not really a problem if you have a larger home. The dust bin is easy to clean and replace. I wish it was larger, though. It can easily fill up with pet hair on one cleaning. The noise level on standard suction power is fine. It's about the sound of a hair dryer on low power. It's not a problem to have this run while you're around.I bought this refurbished. It seemed brand-new. Everything was wrapped in plastic and clean. I only noticed one small scuff on the body. The battery health seems fine. It came with an extra set of brushes and a filter. The app is pretty much necessary -- otherwise it will not map the house and you won't be able to update the firmware. The app is pretty good. It has the settings you need and you can see the map of the house and the robot's path as it goes. You can set a schedule, and other settings, too.You can also link it to Alexa, but it's not that useful, since the scheduling in the app is sufficient. With Alexa, you can tell it to start or stop cleaning. I think you could set the schedule with the Alexa app, too, but that's redundant.I had trouble first charging it and setting it up with its app. I figured out the solutions, though:The top lid flips up to reveal its power switch and dust bin.If it's not charging: have the robot send itself to the charger, rather than placing it on the charger yourself. You do this by pressing the auto button. It will start cleaning and then return home quickly because its battery is low. I couldn't get it to connect to the charger when I tried to place it manually. If the robot won't connect to the app initially: if your home wifi has a 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz signal, then set your phone to "forget" the 5Ghz signal -- meaning it will only autoconnect to the 2.4Ghz one. (You can set it to connect to the 5Ghz signal when you're done with setup).

zero stars!! Horrible product!!
Absolutely a piece of junk!!! Gets stuck in the middle of the wood floor with nothing around it. Sometimes it makes a horrible racket - maybe a wheel?? Can't go over thin rugs (like kitchen rugs). Gets stuck (doesn't fit) under the dishwasher and couch but can't realize it and doesn't back away or move over an inch so I have to push it. Can't go over a small lip from one room to another. Small dirt bin so forget it if you have a dog. Stupid thing even gets stuck when it goes past it's home base! After running for 17 minutes battery drained down to less than 1/4 full. I wanted to include more videos but this one shows how it just doesn't move and how it doesn't like the normal low pile area rug. This is all ridiculous and unacceptable!

Just got it, so far so good.
I just got this robot today and my girlfriend already put eyes on it. Anyway ran it for the first couple of times to test it and the mapping works great. I have low profile carpet and it did not get stuck anywhere. My recliner did confuse it, but that's because its so big. It eventually got around it. It picked up allot of dog hair, human hair, and general dust. Overall pretty good! I will update this as I use it longer.Edit: I set up a virtual barrier to block it from going under my recliner. It gets about a 40min run time (full power) and 90 (standard power). You can also select a spot/room where you want it to go. Lets say if you drop something on the ground and have it vacuum that up. I run it daily and it picks up allot of my dogs hair.Update: Its been about two weeks since I've had it. It still runs well. On normal power it will run about 90min on max I noticed it dies pretty fast in about 30 min > but it will go to the dock and recharge. I've been having trouble finding part replacements, just to have for the future but I did find Bestbuy sells them. "Deebot Kit". It has got stuck a few times (my fault, left some phone cords on the floor) and it yells, I need help (literally it talks!) I cleaned the brush roller once just to get the hair out. It does a pretty good job at picking up pet hair/human hair. I have two dogs.Update Two: Main brush is a little beat up. I have low carpet and clean the brush weekly. I had a couple instances where the side brushes just stopped spinning. When I would pause and restart the vacuum they would start back up again, but be very loud.. Odd.. I'll monitor that and post in this review if they 100% stop working. Otherwise the vacuum still functions as normal for being a refurb.Update Three: After the first couple times of the brushes randomly stopping a few weeks ago, it never happened again. The thing operates great! I even bought some replacement parts on ecovacsparts website, just to have on hand since they are hard to come by with this older generation.Update four: Not even a year I've had this and its starting to fall apart. I've replaced the brushes a few times and it seems to not have the same amount of power as it used to. Could be dust in the motors.. but I'm not going to bother with taking it apart to investigate that.

Keeping bare floors clean just got easier.
I only wish I had bought this vacuum sooner! Anyone with bare floors should have one. Cuts my cleaning time in half. No way Iโd sweep every day, but with this vacuum, I can have clean floors any time. I have 4 Toy fox terriers and a cat. It gets the hair better than a broom.

More frustration than cleaning
It's a hassle to get it started. It worked fine for the first month, then every clean it had "LDS malfunction". After numerous count of tapping and cleaning the bot it finally decides to move. Sometimes it takes it up to 40 minutes to move off the base after saying "I'm starting to clean". It's a high maintenance robot. Too much hassle for little of the clean. The mapping is awful too. It will clean one spot numerous of times and completely avoid a big area. Had to reset the map multiple of times, and it resets the map on its own. It defeats the purpose of the mapping. At this point I am too frustrated to sit quietly. I regret this purchase.

Efficient - sort of
The scanning feature maps out area to be cleaned, and then it goes to it - but it refuses to clean my low pile area rugs - no problem with hard floors, consistently avoids carpet

Great vacucum
This is the second one we have owned. It is great. I will always have one in my home. It runs a good amount of time and does a good job on the hardwood in our home.

Best budget vaccum
This competes with much higher end Roomba brand vacuums at less than half the price. I wish the dust bin was larger, and it sure would be nice to have the higher end ones that suck the bin into a larger canister on the dock, but that comes with a higher price.(Assuming the device or its dock do not get moved) The laser guidance system is perfect, the mapping software is perfect, and it cleans just as good as my portable stick vacuum did. Only complaint really is that it has a hard time setting itself back on the dock if the dock gets moved. Since the dock is so lightweight, a cat walking by can move it.
