Anderson's NEW FortiSalt Seasoning Gourmet Salt Substitute, Award Winning Taste, Real Salt Taste, Low Sodium, Refill Size, 550mL

I've bought this product a number of times. I keep it in my pantry and use it multiple ways. Not only is the taste great but, there is no aftertaste or weird flavor that some products that rely on Potassium have. I've turned friends and co-workers onto the product and gotten positive feedback and thanks. One of the nice things about this product is it also contains traces of minerals that are a nice option to help replentish what you may lose if you have diet restrictions without hoping you'll absorb expensive suppliments. All in all not only do I highly recommend this produce I have every intention of continuing to buy and use it for myself. It's easy to use, they have a larger option to use to refill the spray bottle, directions on how much to use both as a spray and the amount of liquid if you are interested in using it in that capacity. I'm very glad to have found this item.

My husband and I travel to Mexico every summer for vacation and find the food at the resort can be somewhat flavorless, depending what we are ordering. When you try to add salt to the food there, due to the humidity, the salt packets are all stuck together. We decided this year to try taking liquid salt with us. GAME CHANGER! This product saved the day and really enhanced the flavors of our meals. We did not find it overpowering like some other reviews I have read. We loved it.My only complaint/suggestion is to offer the product in a smaller sized option. The larger 8 ounce bottle was too big to take on our trip. We purchased a small 1.5 ounce spray bottle and added some of the product to the smaller bottle to take with us. That worked perfectly. We will never travel without this product again.

Per serving you get: Chloride (660mg), Sodium (280mg), Potassium (133mg), and Magnesium (48mg). Other minerals are under 10mg each, with nearly all under 1mg each. The claim that: "FortiSalt is sea water from Utah’s Great Salt Lake evaporated in solar pools" gave me a VERY different idea of what would be on the "Nutritional Facts" label (which they don't show in the listing). I expected to see the Sodium, along with small amounts of a wide variety of other minerals, in their normal concentrations in Great Salt Lake water. Instead, the Potassium has been increased to roughly 8 times its natural level (according to the Natural History Museum of Utah, at their website). Potassium is the primary ingredient in "no salt" sodium alternatives. Many people find it bitter, and/or they are on medications where they need to avoid Potassium (such as Losartan). For those who can eat Potassium, and who like it, this product ends up being a "low salt" or "light salt" blend, with a lot of Chloride and some Magnesium added in, for a VERY high price. I was REALLY hoping for the claimed: "FortiSalt’s flavor profile more complex than plain sea salt; each mineral offers its own flavor note, and the combined experience is like a symphony instead of a solo." Instead of the symphony, I taste the duo of Sodium and Potassium. It's not bad, but I was hoping for 1/8th of the Potassium, and to taste the flavors of many other minerals.

I've been using this for a year or more now and like the flavor. Hopefully it's reducing my sodium intake too. The last shipment was just mailed in a bubble wrap mailer and the cap cracked as shown in the pictures above. It's still usable and didn't spill so it worked out, but it could stand to be more well-protected during shipment.

This tastes exactly like salt but with half the sodium. If you don't want to use Potassium as a salt substitute, this is perfect. I've been enjoying flavor again on my food without it causing me any issues.

Using Fortisalt reduces the salt content, tastes good, and doesn't have a chemical after taste like other products I have tried. Six full sprays only provides 285 mg of sodium and I find I usually only need .5-1 spray per serving of food when added just before eating. I did find that the spray head can eventually become clogged and may need a rinse to get it back to a full spray. I'm happy I found this product and recommend it.
