One alcohol fuel bottle to rule them all...
I am a big fan of this fuel bottle, and from my searching, it seems to be the #1 item to store/transport alcohol fuel. It is certainly the professional way to go about backpacking with an alcohol or multi-fuel stove. Depending on the toxicity of the fuel one is using, it is a great item to use to ensure no leaks, because that methanol in denatured alcohol or HEET is some very nasty stuff if ingested or absorbed in the skin. I have been using Everclear for the guaranteed saftey at the bit higher fuel cost... while also allowing for spiked drinks on the trail, hah. Ok, so maybe you aren't convinced from just the safety perspective. This thing should have some great features above and beyond a home-brew bottle/storage solution, right? To that, indeed it does. First and foremost, it is a durable plastic bottle with a reinforcement ring around the neck. The overall weight is lighter than I expected. The screw cap is where the real safety and convenience come into play, though. The cap's threads are sealed via a snug-fitting O-ring, and the release valve is sealed by a spring-loaded rubber contact seal. It is simplicity itself, and well-crafted. To dispense the fuel, simply partway unscrew the plastic nut on top, which will allow some head room to push down on the assembly against the spring and open the contact seal, allowing fuel to flow. One caveat, push on the top button with the bottle upright if fuel is stored, because there will likely be some evaporated fuel under a bit of pressure, which will prevent sputtering when dispensing the fuel. edit: I am embarrassed to say that I forgot this step recently and the earlier hot day built up some pressure that sprayed a fine mist of alcohol up into the air and a bit on my head, fortunately it wasn't methanol Also, one drawback to the system is that if the bottle is held at too high of an angle while dispensing will allow fuel to flow out of both nozzles. I like the simplicity of the two nozzles, allowing one to act as an air inlet, but at the same time I feel it could have been made a little bit more fool-proof by instead having an air inlet with a simple check valve to prevent undesired fuel flow out the top side. Still, being careful to hold a full bottle horizontally, having some common sense, and practice will all make for a spill-free experience. This thing is near-perfect for dispensing small amount of alcohol fuel. Oh, and don't forget to shake a little bit of fuel out of the nozzle and tighten the top nut again in order to press the contact seal snug (not too tight).

Best liquid fuel bottle
I use these for supplying fuel-grade alcohol for the Trangia stove spirit burners I have. They're supposed to be good for petroleum-based fuels as well. What it is not is a pressure container for pumped burners. It has a safety cap, you unscrew the nut a few turns, push the stem down to release any pressure inside beforehand, then push it down again to pour into the burner. Top snout lets air in so you get a steady stream out the bottom snout with no glug-glug and no fuel spray over the surroundings. When done, screw the nut down and it's as leakproof as it gets. Have never had a problem with them and some of the bottles have ended up on their sides in the back of a hot van. The bottles themselves are heavy wall semi-rigid plastic, I think you'd have to drive over one to damage it. But currently not cheap on this side of the pond. Nothing here to corrode or seize up like with a metal bottle. Still think they're worth the cost. Nothing like the thin and cheap blow-molded containers others sell for fuel bottles.

For the incompetent alcohol pourer
i got this for my alcohol stove for many reasons. First off despite all my danger markings on a water bottle I was still worried I would mistake t for water, secondly I was an incompetent alcohol pourer and may have set a little small ground fire a couple times. This is solid and fixes my problem. I've taken it on 3 backpacking trips and am my quote convinced the spout will hold up but so far it seems fine.

This is a backup for my motorcycle. I've had a few close calls. The Trangia Fuel Bottle has been an absolute lifesaver during my outdoor adventures. Its durable construction and leak-proof design give me peace of mind, knowing that my fuel is safely stored without any risk of spills or leaks. The compact size fits perfectly in my backpack and the storage container of my motorcycle. and the screw-top cap ensures easy refueling without any mess. Whether I'm camping, hiking, or backpacking, this fuel bottle is always by my side, ready to fuel my stove whenever I need it. Overall, I highly recommend the Trangia Fuel Bottle to anyone in need of a reliable and convenient way to carry fuel for their outdoor activities. It's a small investment that makes a big difference in ensuring a hassle-free outdoor experience.

A must have
Seriously this thing is a must has if you got an alcohol stove. Makes refilling so easy, and carrying extra fuel so much safer. Or to put a longer way. the spout makes pouring fuel very precise and easy, so no spillage at all. And the container is built very well, with a reinforcement brace on the neck and a good thick plastic all around. Then add in the screw cap that ensures it's locked shut when not being used. One think i would note, is unless you car camping or to a long trip with no resupplies. just stick with the 0.3 liter it's enough to refuel you maybe 6 times or more.

High-quality, durable, and doesn’t leak
When I received the fuel container it met or exceeded all of my expectations. The size is perfect and holds nearly an entire bottle of HEET; which is what I use it for as part of my alcohol stove cooking kit. Bottle is stiff and made of durable material. Haven’t had it leak either; just need to shake any drops out of spout when finished pouring as some will inevitably fall out, but nothing gets past the actual valve. There was a small imperfection in the plastic threads that made the valve a little stiff to screw in and caused it to make a creaking sound, but it was easily remedied with a touch of sanding. Overall, an excellent choice to carry small amounts of fuel. Probably the best choice, to be honest.

I consider these Trangia bottles to be a godsend for liquid fuels and have used them for years. The spout system gives excellent control for pouring and prevents spillages when used with appropriate care. The plastic bottle is strong, thick walled and more than bomb proof enough to go into a bergen or other bag without worrying about it being crushed or punctured. It is a bit unnerving when opening the cap when it is tight and it can feel like it might not be strong enough for the twisting forces. But I have had no issues. Like anything else, just don't force it beyond what it can likely handle. The pouring spouts enable precise pouring into tight fuel reservoirs, like you might find on some stoves or lanterns. While letting the liquid run at just the right pace to fill your stove (or whatever) but still maintaining control. You inevitably end up with a drip or two due to the nature of the system. But this is minor and considerably better than having fuel run down the bottle sides as what often happens with other fuel bottles. The cap has a loop for hanging. To be frank, I would not trust it for hanging a full bottle. However, it is perfect for attaching a small silicone funnel via mini carabiner. Making it quite easy to return unused and cooled fuel to the bottle. The rubber seals keep the contents where it needs to be and I have had no leaks whatsoever. At 500ml, the ones I use can seem a little small for more than a couple of days of camping, but they are slender, so packing a few into a bag is no problem if you feel the need. I like the smaller ones as I find them very versatile whether I'm out for the day or a bit longer. There is always the 1L option if you need it. I have used one for the last twelve years to carry methylated spirit and it has never let me down. I also recently purchased another to carry paraffin and it does just as well with that also.
