This is a nice, basic thermometer, nothing fancy but works well as far as I can tell. It takes a minute or so to for a reading, then beeps. The description says it takes "4 AAA batteries (included)" which made no sense, because the size didn't jibe. Sure enough, it takes one little button battery that is replaceable. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the conical shape of the part that goes into the mouth (or wherever else) makes it difficult to keep firmly in place without holding it by hand. If it were straighter, it would work better. I bought this to keep on hand in addition to my old glass thermometer that's a more difficult to read and takes longer, but then again, never needs batteries.

Didn't work. Never beeped and never took temperature.

Came fast. Works great. Love the color.

The instructions state the measurement time is supposed to be 30 seconds. When I took my temperature it seemed a little long so I started over and timed it. It started beeping at exactly 1 minute. I am not sure if the Instructions are wrong or if the unit I have is not working correctly.Other than that is works fine.

Takes a little longer than most digital thermometers to get a reading, even with a normal temp. Seems accurate, as I checked it against another style thermometer.

Works, but takes sooooo long! Two full minutes (at least), which is a long time when you’re trying to keep it under your tongue (especially if you’re struggling to breathe through your nose).
