Quieter hotter more efficient burn than the stock burner
Just ran my first test burn of this. It burns insanely quiet at full blast. More importantly it burns hotter and better than the stock burner at Max and minimum ranges. I boiled 2 cups of water in 2 minutes with perfect indoor conditions and white gas for fuel. I primed the stove with a few tablespoons of denatured alcohol. Exactly the same as I would normally. And it didn't seem like too much of a chore. Maybe in cold temperatures it would take more priming. The only downside is this thing has no feet or stabilizing fixtures so you can knock it over inside the bell especially when adjusting the airflow screw (which I didn't have to mess with too much for a perfect burn). There has to be a way to wire it into place or somehow stabilize it. I really want to try a stir fry with this monster but not until I find a way to secure the new burner, as it would be easy to knock over with that aggressive style of cooking.

Have a Dragonfly? Buy it!
Where have you been?? This extremely sturdy, well made, and adjustable damper will quiet down a Dragonfly stove to unbelievable levels! The only con is the fact you can't make it "stick" to the stove, but the benefits greatly outweigh the only con. If you're sick and tired of sounding like you're cooking with a jet engine, this damper is well worth the wait!
