These work as expected and have used several times. Belts don’t slip. Would buy again if I ever need more.

Work as intended

Quick and easy to get in place. However you have to securely tie the loose end of the strap because the vibrations will allow the strap to loosen and the hook to come free.

Worked great to hold my kayak up to the ceiling of and long enough to bring the kayak low enough to easily set in the straps

They work great

I required these straps for just one purpose. To hoist and support a canoe (that has yet to be delivered, hence no picture) to the ceiling of my garage. I needed long straps with short fixed ends. These straps are pictured as having fixed ends that appeared to be less than 6". That would place the buckle nicely between the ceiling and the gunwales. To my surprise the fixed ends were 17.5" from buckle to end of hook, but had a loop to wrap the fixed end like an axle strap (see picture). Last thing I want is the buckle damaging a gunwale due to the fixed end being so long. So I'll probably end up using the loop and a carabiner to shorten the fixed end. The rest of the strap is good. A solid stamped sheet metal buckle with a cast metal lock. The locks teeth are plentiful and the spring is nice and strong. The strap spans 12'9" hook end to hook end, longer than advertised. When I hung both straps from a ceiling in a V, and cradled a barbell between them I noticed only a slight stretch on the first chinup (barbell+me=250lbs) but it was rock solid otherwise. No slipping whatsoever. Would I use these for lashing cargo to the roof of my vehicle or a trailer? Heck no!! That's what ratchet straps are for. But for my purpose they'll perform just fine with lots of room for safety.
