Fantastic book

This book is an amazing resource for singers of all levels of experience. There are exercises for both students and teachers, and it is a great one-stop resource for preparing a role.

I used this book for ideas and inspiration for an Opera Aria intensive workshop. Great ideas. The organization of the book was a little less than optimum for my particular needs...but there are some really useful and practical ideas for singers. Great!

The "book" reads like an outline of something that could be worth reading. There is no meat to it what-so-ever. Most of the text consists of quotes and excerpts from other people and books. Extremely basic exercises are explained in a very tedious manner and many of the exercises are not practical outside of an opera workshop setting.I'm an absolute beginner... and learned very little from this book.

Useful, smart and full of details on singing acting and movement of an opera singer, but not the best on this subject.

It's the most complete and helpful guide for any opera student. I will use it all my life. Get one.
