LM393 Sound Sensor Module - High Sensitivity Microphone Sound Detection Sensor with 3.3-5V Digital Onboard Potentiometer Led Indicator for Ar-duino (Pack of 5)

I am trying to make an audio detector for predator animals which evade motion detection. I got the Stemedu Sound Sensor Module kit to explore the idea of detecting sounds of an animal movement above a certain threshold to indicate the presence of the animal close by. This works great in the lab but does not do as well outdoors where I want to use this idea. I have no problem with the quality of the product and it comes with a nice bundle of jumper wires.
