Look for mesh bag at the bottom of the bag full of pellets.
Upon receiving the bag full of carbon pellets I thought I was missing the mesh bag that was advertised. After opening the bag of pellets I found the mesh bag at the bottom of the pellet bag.

Worked to clear out tannins quickly
My pond has a tea color characteristic of rotting vegetation from tannins even after a 80% water changeover. This cleared it up in a few days. Crystal clear!

I can't prevent the acorns and pollen from getting in my pond and the carbon made a big difference with the "tea" water. If it doesn't work for you, then your pond has a different issue. Barley straw and carbon work for me. A UV light is great for algae, which wasn't my problem. Glad to have a clear pond without chemicals. So what if it doesn't come in a bucket as others complained about.

charcoal pond media
This is a great product. It's keeping my outdoor 1000 gallon tilapia pond real clear, along with another mesh media in a 5 gallon bucket. Once again a great product and would definitely recommend it!
