CP5924 0-Inch to 24-Inch Electronic Digital Caliper

People have complained that the box is a POC. Well it is, but the calipers are awesome, especially for the price. I can pull them from end to end and they always approximate zero when closed. Also, measuring known objects they are extremely accurate. I also bought the 12"

great value on a very accurate tool

Bought in 2011, used it one time and took battery out and put it in the case( that came damaged) in my house. Got it out yesterday and it will not work. New battery, comes on but does not do anything. No place to send it to get it fixed. Out $100 for one use.

Do not waste your time or money. The electronics just quit working after a short time. I tried new batteries and still nothing. Total waste of money.

Based on the product description, I thought there would be spurs for measuring inside diameters (and it wasn't clear in the picture). So, I don't know how you are supposed to measure inside diameters with this tool. I was also a little disappointed in how difficult it was to get an accurate reading with this tool. Using a 0.80mm thickness gauge, it was easy to over tighten or under tighten. I would say the tool is accurate within +- 0.05mm given that I could tighten it down so it would read 0.75mm or loosen it to 0.85mm without it "feeling" extra tight or extra loose.

I bought this for my husband. He uses this at his work and seems to be happy with it.

We use this 24 inch digital caliper to test and maintain accurate lengths in our larger unit blocks to an accuracy of less than 5/1000 of an inch. Works great.
