I ordered 1/8th inch mild steel coupons, and that is exactly what came. They were a little bit dirty, but they didn’t stop the welding. For those who don’t understand how steel gauge sizes work, 11 gauge is 1/8 inch.

This is a good practice coupon. Guys always remember to prepare your metal before starting.

But maybe these are suppose to be super dirty, and grimie and it's all part of learning how to weld? If not, well, there you go. IF so, then, they are as they should. Sizing seems right, thickness is on point.
