PX1 565 Lumen Pure Beam Focusing LED Flashlight with Twist Focus and Adjustable Pocket Clip

I't's been a little less than 2 years since I bought the Coast PX1 flashlight. And to be honest I never thought I'd be raving about a flashlight. In a word - AWESOME! Admittedly this flashlight isn't cheap, but it's well worth the money. I wear it in a homemade leather belt pouch along with a multi-tool and I find myself using it almost every day. As tools go, it's one of the best I've ever bought. It's well made; sturdy, compact and bright. I've dropped mine more than a few times and it's none the worse for wear. The lens assembly is well recessed from the front, keeping it from getting banged up. The focusing beam works well, and there are two brightness settings alternating as it's turned on and off. I use the brighter setting most of the time, but the reduced brightness is useful sometimes in close quarters when the brighter setting can wash out visibility. I find that battery life is quite good; I use two sets of rechargeable AAA cells that I alternate between. After two years about the only change is that the anodizing is wearing off a bit on the front and some of the knurling, but it works as well as it did when I first got it. If you're looking for a great flashlight I can't recommend the PX1 enough!

I thought this flashlight to be a little bit pricey, but I had purchased one before, and was really happy with the quality and performance of that one, so I just purchased one more. I find it really handy to have such a small and powerful flashlight readily available. (I never really understood that it was three different intensity levels until I receive the second flashlight; the trick is that the intensity varies amongst three levels as you repeatedly turn the flashlight on and off)

Bright and well made. Also, it can use 18650 rechargeable batteries without needing any adapters.

Great flashlight and long lasting construction. This is my second purchase of the same flashlight, i like it that much. The other one was lost or i would still have been using it. Bright enough for everyday use, I use mine at work several times per shift and never had any concerns with quality. Battery life could be better, i change batteries every 3 weeks. As my prior flashlight aged, the light did get dimmer after about 2 years of regular use but not much.

Straight out of the pack I was happy with the solid build and size of this torch. Metal constuction with great weather sealing. Build quality aside, I felt a little let down with the brightness of the torch. I have a LED Lenser 240 Lumen torch that is noticeably brighter than this claimed 315 Lumen PX1. I replaced the batteries that came in the pack with fresh Alkaline batteries (perfrmance vs price for lithium batteries dont cut it for me). There was maybe a small difference in brightness but still not as bright as my LED lenser. I work on an ambulance and have been able to test the PX1 in different situations. Its a good little torch, I cant take that away from it. I just wish it was the 315 Lumens as stated. I will continue to use and enjoy this torch and recomend it to anyone needing a general purpose, durable flashilight for everyday use. When the time comes to purchase another torch, I will look for something in the same size just brighter if possible. Cheers.

Very bright, good quality

This is the third flashlight I have purchased from Coast and it is a perfect size and brightness. I always carry it in my pocket because I never know when I'll need one and it isn't bulky, but it also has a clip for belt, pocket or wherever. In fact I bought this one because I misplaced my older one and I wasn't disappointed. I highly recommend this brand for their quality, variety and brightness.
