summaries needed
Bulleted summaries would be very helpful at the end of chapters. Lots of good recommendations and information. Be nice to have a recap of most important points at the end of chapters

it has no index - but all the content
this is a really helpful book. I got it to train my pup and so far nothing but great tips in this book. But finding what you're looking for in here, is a challenge. But whatever you are looking for, it's there.

Good book needs color.
Good book, very informative. If it was in color I would have given 5 stars.

Inaccurate information, over generalizations, confusing order of information
Some of the accurate info in this can be found on blogs, and the glaring inaccuracies make it hard to trust.- The author pushes raw food, and if not raw that you can cook your own food and just give some to your dog. No thoughts about spices, how much goes in, that you shouldn’t be giving your dog heavily seasoned food, etc- Recommends grain free even though this has repeatedly been cited as a bad option for dogs- Your dogs paws should never leave the floor. Not really sure how this one was decided. Puppies are often too small to jump into vehicles or go down stairs on their own- The author makes many sweeping statements, such as “train your dog for five minutes at a time” without taking into account age, temperament, training level, etc. You’d be much better served taking training advice from a generalist that teaches you how to read your dog and adapt like Zac George, vs this.- mentions things like marker words with no explanation

Just ok.
Some inconsistencies, and needs editing - there were glaring grammatical errors. Information was decent enough, but nothing you can't find online.

Resourceful
The house breaking tips were very useful as well as the training tips. Being an owner of a shiba inu they can tend to be on the stubborn side. The book had so much useful information. I have other books that pertain to care but this one was so much more resourceful. Bonus our shiba inu was featured in the book. Loved looking at all the wonderful pictures of all the shiba inus. Would recommend to anyone. 5 stars

Great Definitive Guide
Well organized and lots of great information for a first time Shiba servant. I wish I had had this book when I first got my shiba, because they are a very unique breed...general training/puppy books just don’t prepare you the way breed specific books like this one do.

Good little book about Shiba Inus - including when they are older
Lovely book but online photos are in colour (they are in greytone in the printed edition - would have given 4 stars if colour as advertised).

Don’t waste your money
Full of contradictions and not very useful

Very basic
Very very basic information, some of which could be considered contradictory. Everything can be found online for free but it’s a hard copy quick reference. If you don’t like hard copies this definitely isn’t worth the money
