Works… if you can get past Chinese Install
1) The only place you’ll find the install software is on the mini CD-ROM included. If you don’t have a way to get the installer off this, you’ll be out of luck.If you can get past the completely Chinese install package/windows, and deal with file folders directories that are in Chinese characters until you create your own replacements… it works. Had to adjust the calibration down -4.5 units. No idea what the calibration “units” are, but -4.5 corrected mine pretty close. It’ll do.Surprised no one makes a more user friendly, “name brand” version of this device cause it’s pretty handy.

Using in conjunction with a raspberry pi to send temperature alerts whenever a python script runs. Works like a champ.

I FINALLY found one that works on Win2012, Win7 machines.. and actually does logging.Got software installed.. and works.I then wrote (because we are in software) .. a process to text me .. so I can't speak to how theirs work.. but everything else does.

it works well, finally! it took a week ...
it works well, finally! it took a week to install on xp computers, haven't gotten it to install on ubuntu yet. this product doesn't come with instructions or even a model number.

I have this connected to a first-gen raspberry pi that I use to monitor the temperature at a remote location. I poll the temp, using a Python script, at regular intervals. So far, this has worked reliably.The only real complaint is that it is off by ~3C degrees. I don't know if the device can be calibrated in hardware or not. I calibrate it in software, using the accurate reading from another device.
