I purchased this product to replace a very old set of anti furl devices. I did not want to spend a bunch and per the reviews on here these looked like a good buy. Indeed they are. Simple light weight construction. They attached to my 1" pole with simple set screws. The collar that slides around works well in keeping the flag from wrapping around the pole. I would only make one recommendation. Since my pole hangs at a angle off my front porch most of the weight is carried by the top device. I keep some teflon lubricant around for use on my bikes. Guess what? It works great to lubricate the sliding collars on these devices. We have had a few windy days here and they have worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend this product based on construction and price.

I'm done with cheap plastic versions of this kind of product.These are made of a very good grade of aluminum.At first I had the flag pulled taught and they didn't keep the 3X5 flag mounted on my deck post on a standard aluminum flagpole, but after realizing they were in a bind, I put just a slight sag in the flag by loosening them up a bit and added a squirt of WD-40 and they have worked perfectly in up to a 22 mph wind.

When I read the reviews, I was a little hesitant to buy this item. But, nothing is perfect. It arrived within two days and I immediately attached it to my flag. At the end of the day, the flag was tangled because one attaching clip was broken. I simply removed both metal clips and replaced them with smaller, oval, that closed with an adjoining nut. Then, my husband loosed the pieces in the flag pole attachments so the rings could move freely as the flag flapped in the wind. The flag will flip around the pole, but it immediately frees itself with a full turn. I love it. No more unwrapping my flag all day or just taking it down!!

The plastic swivel rings on my poor quality Home Depot flag pole broke and I ordered these as replacements. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. Even the little details like the packaging seemed to be above and beyond. I had these new flag attachments on my old flag pole in minutes and they have been doing great every since. I think the tree my flag pole is attached to will be dead and gone long before these flag swivels will stop working. They are made out of high quality aluminum and are heavy duty grade. One of my best purchases ever.

this product works well for anti wrap which is its purpose. Gets dirty and starts binding causing flag to wrap around pole. Clean and lube and it's ok for a while then repeat when it binds again. All is well til clips break, then replace with sturdy "S" hooks and you'll be happy. My first set lasted a year then clip broke. New flag and new spinners lasted 1 day when clip broke. Will replace clips today with "S" hooks. Seams to me clips should be replaced with something stronger than the flimsy clips they now use. Other than that this is a great product.

I went through two sets of plastic flag pole mounting rings before I got smart and finally broke down and bought these Aluminum ones. I am not quite sure why I waited so long because these things are AWESOME! I have yet to have the flag get hung up and wrapped around the flag pole (which is what always happened with the plastic rings). One hint though...ditch the caribeaner clips that come with the rings, they are junk. I used some 4mm (5/32") chain quick links to attach the flag to the mounting rings.

The product itself is constructed well, but unless you live where the wind never blows, look elsewhere. My flag has gotten tangled every time I had it out since installing the new ring clip. The problem is the metal to metal. It spins, but nearly as fluidly as it needs to. Maybe if I keep spraying it with grease or silicon it may work right.

nice quality aluminum but the flag still wraps around the flag pole when its windy out. its advertised as being tangle free but at least once a week the flag is wrapped around the pole. I bought this as a gift for my dad's house. He's over 70 so he is not able to unwrap the flag every time. If it was truly tangle free I would have given the product 5 stars.

I have had a few other mounting rings that claimed to keep Your flag hanging "right" none really worked until I bought these. They work exactly as they claim they will! I live in a colder climate with lots of snow and freezing rain and they FLY through it all. They are used on a side mounted flag and I never have a twist. LOVE THESE THINGS.

One was moving fairly well but not perfectly. The other was sticking. Applied high quality marine-grade dry lube which made the one move about perfectly. The other continued to bind and when turning slowly the bearings could be felt to be grinding. I returned the set as both parts have to work perfectly together.
