Q: The taste from the bottles is hideous. Does it ever go?.

Every soft flask I've tried appears to have the same problem, although some of the cheaper ones are far worse! I can't say the taste improves much over time but I no longer gag when I take a drink - perhaps I've just got used to it?

Q: I cant find this pack anywhere else and this price seems too good to be true - is this a fake?

I ordered this vest and sent it back and the only reason for that was that the medium came up a bit small on me. I have a 40-in chest so I've opted for large. When I place the new order I actually ordered the Active Skin 4 instead. The only 2 differences that I could note was The mesh on the straps is slightly tougher or thicker or bigger honeycomb effect than the Advantage Skin vest. Also on the Active Skin the bungee straps on the front are easier to undo through the clips; but on the Advantage Skin I couldn't unclip them and so I had to slip the vest off over my head. Apart from that both the Advantage Skin 4 and the Active Skin 4 seem almost identical.

Q: Will this fit a 48 inch chest

You would need X large i would say

Q: Does this have a waterproof layer in the back like the adv 12, as this makes your back sweat like crazy in the summer months.

It's quite light, and more like a mesh than a waterproof layer. Still get sweaty though
