Playmates Toys Simpsons Dr. Stephen Hawking Action Figure

Hubby liked. Did not know to purchase simpson set in order to activate.

As a physics teacher I could have settle for an Einstein bobble head, but everyone and their quantum electrodynamics professor has one of those, so as a Simpsons fan I get had to get one of these.

This product was as described and perfectly pristine when delivered. I am s happy displaying this on my desk. !

Excellent figure with a good cartoon likeness of Professor Hawking. The figure is approx 6" tall from the bottom of the chair's wheels, to the top of the gyrocopter blades and approx. 4.5" from the back of the chair to the front of the boxing glove.The Series 13 interactive figure made by Playmates includes Prof. Hawking's glasses, a pint of (Duff?) beer and jet stabiliser attachments for gyrocopter mode, as accessories.. this figure is really more suited to desk display, than the rigors of the play room.Two versions exist of this figure, this is the interactive model which when added to the Simpsons Aztec Theater or Military Antique Shop Interactive Environments (what's wrong with the word 'diorama' Playmates Toys?) allows the figure to repeat certain Hawking phrases from the show (note - the figure does not have a talk function unless attached to a compatible diorama)The other version of the figure is identical but does not include the 'interactive' feature.. the packaging makes it clear whether it is the model with 'intelli-tronic' voice activation.The Science Museum have included one of these figures in their Hawking exhibition.. and Prof. Hawking has one.
