WiistarHDMI to SDI Converter, HDMI to SDI Audio Video Adapter Support SD-SDI/HD-SDI/3G-SDI 1080p for Camera Home Theater

Purchase 2, from amazon and 2 from ebay. All similar but not sure if made by the same manufacturer. In any case all 4 seam to have the same issue with tablet outputs and smaller PCs like ideapads where HDMI is the only output. The issue is the SDI output goes to black and back (blinks) on the desktop image, but holds when a full screen video is played from sites like you tube or mp4 video files. Tested this with a couple of different PCs and monitors. The older PCs that have both HDMI and VGA video cards held the sdi display just fine. Additionally, these worked just fine with a MacBookPro and Air. Even tried an old MacPro with a DVI to HDMI adapter with no issue.

The product is as described. However, unfortunately the photo is not of the correct product. They list it as HDMI to SDI, but Photo is of the SDI to HDMI unit which is what I needed. My fault for not reading closely, but still annoying. :)

I purchased this HDMI to SDI converter together with Winster Mini HD 1080p 3G SDI to HDMI converter to transmit Dish network TV output to 100 ft away room. I spent additional $15 for 100 ft long BNC cable. This SDI system works perfectly and is better than Ethernet transmitter - receiver system that lasted a few years of use.

If you are looking at these, you have already researched the WAY more expensive "name brand" versions of these. Do yourself a favor and save some money and buy these. Work perfect. Have two sets of them and haven't had any issue using them over a 100ft run.

Works great every time. I have the transmitter and receiver and they both work wonderfully!

The converter works correctly with JVC prosumer HD cameras using RG-6 cable over 50+ feet length. These items also arrived very quickly.

The cable port doesn't fit with the connecting cable I am trying to use. I am disappointed that I wasn't able to return it. I will not order these products again.

Did not work. Converter distorted video to washed out, and lack of color. Replaced it with a black magic which worked fine. Buy a black magic.
