Great charger replacement for older black and decker equipment. Used compatible batteries and charged fine.

Fast charger

After inserting the battery, it started charging. Within a couple of minutes the charger showed the battery fully charged. Returned the unit and asked for another.The unit they sent me did the same exact thing. I tried with several known-good batteries but they all did the same thing in the chargers.If you have nothing better to do, you can pull the battery out and re-insert it after the charger shows fully charged and do this about 20 times. It will eventually fully charge the battery.

I received the charger and plugged it in and installed the B&D 12V battery I needed to charge. The single light came on as RED which didn't surprise me. I let the charger do it's thing and within 90 minutes (I'm guessing, it wasn't longer) the light changed to green. The battery worked in my B&D drill so I'm happy.There is no indication of how far along the charging is or if it is charging at all. That would have been nice. I guess I have to take the progress at face-value, which worked for the battery I was using. I'm not sure what indication I would have gotten if I put a very dead-to-the-world battery in.I'm very happy with the charger. Just subtracted a star for leaving me in suspense while it worked.
