12" silent running clock - is very quite. It is plastic framed and very light weight. It is a light and medium gray. So far, works well. This product/seller kept their promise... No More Decibels from the Clock! ABSOLUTELY QUIET. Does not intrude on the decor of the room. Actually enhances it in our case as we are partial to soft wood tones. The clock is plastic - not wood. In this case, the finish makes you look twice to be sure. The clock is light weight. The second hand on the clock is unobtrusive. The overall visual impression of the clock is so much better that a red light from a clock radio staring you down all night... I can see the damn thing through my eye lids!Couple of other comments... (1) For hanging the clock it comes with a special metal hanger 'peg' built in to an adhesive patch with a small clear plastic reinforcement. The patch and the 'peg' are to be used together as a single piece for hanging the clock; and (2) the AA battery is a tight squeeze. Did finally get it installed but took an extra measure of brute force from these arthritic hands. I'm pleased with the purchase.
