Intel Core i9-10900 Desktop Processor 10 Cores up to 5.2 GHz LGA 1200 (Intel 400 Series Chipset) 65W

This was the latest, high powered processor at the time when I purchased it. Afordable, it allows me to to do complex task.

Wanted to build a powerful mini PC to run Abaqus-CAE, and I paired this CPU with Asrock Deskmini H470W because this is the most powerful CPU this barebone system can support.The H470W runs on a 120W Adapter and this I9-10900 (TDP 65W) works just fine. This little beast has the raw computing power that cut the average Abaqus analysis time by 50% compared with my other laptop sports by I5 1035G7.Yet powerful, this is still a TDP 65W CPU and the heat is very manageable for a mini PC that has less than 2 liter interior volume. This cpu is one of the best I have in my home. Currently there is an 8th gen i5, 10th gen i7, 10th gen i9, and a Ryzen 5 3600. During that time it was hard to buy CPU's and GPU's so I found a couple of products with integrated video. This i9 served its purpose and more. It is better now that I placed a small workstation card in it which works for me but is also a place holder until GPU's come back to reality. Fast CPU, makes light work of video editing and single core work like CAD. Does not see games, so cannot help there, but I am sure it would be more than enough for most users and prices are great for these.

The media could not be loaded. So, to be honest I only bought this i9 because I wanted the Asus ROG Maximus XII Formula Motherboard! I really didn't want an i9 because I had bought a Ryzen 9 3950x but after using this processor, motherboard and GPU along with my Samsung G7 Monitor my games are amazing. I did one overclocking bench mark test and was throughly impressed. I kinda like i9 now and I was never a fan before. I bought this thinking I was getting a 10-900kthis is not the K versionthis processor is a dog compared to the 10 900know I have a 400 fishing sinkerupdateI turned off the power limitsflys good now at 4.8 Ghz all coresspikes to 5.1low heat so I guess im happy with itUpdatebumped my memory to 3600 and now I can get up to 5.2 ghz

This 10 generation Intel package includes the fan so putting a system together is very easy. I had the entire system working within 35 minutes of starting. I added a 2TB solid state drive and 32 GB RAM so performance from power on to power off is fantastic. With a good high speed internet connection, everything is faster and switching is instantaneous. I spend very little time waiting for anything to load as well as significantly faster response on all applications, including gaming apps. Even so, most of the time half of the cores are idle or under 10%.Great processor!

Have absolutely nothing bad to say about this processor. People that are saying it’s not as good as the K version are looking at this wrong. This CPU uses literally half of the wattage that the K version does, while being at 5.1Ghz rather than 5.3. Do you really think you would notice a bigger difference between .2GHz vs using half of the wattage? I am still trying to find ways to utilize this processor to the max, but it destroys anything that goes at it. This processor will undoubtedly last a while for me and I would not think twice in your shoes either.
