Learned my lesson! 2017 Garden going back to Winchester Plant Spikes!
We bought a huge bag of organic fertilizer at Costco, so I thought I'd try that this year instead of these spikes. I have a large vegetable garden, 30+ tomato plants 30+ peppers and all sorts of other vegetables, herbs and fruit. With Winchester spikes, you put in your plants, push in a spike on each side and you're good for the majority of the season with healthy plants, huge production, great taste and no issues such as blossom end rot. This year, on my hands and knees every three weeks or so, spending hours placing fertilizer at the base of each plant. Never again! Plants this year are ok, but not great as in previous years with Winchester - and so much more work. Here are my only comments about the Winchester spikes 1. Need bigger packages of vegetable spikes; 2. Spikes don't last, leftover spikes crumble after one season; 3. Amazon prime prices are double of what is on their site. I will definitely be using these spikes next year!

It worked really well on my garden & fruit trees
I ordered this based on the good reviews. My dwarf fig tree went nuts with this stuff last summer and was VERY productive right up to the late fall freeze. 3 entire large waves of fruit. More than we could eat. We were giving large batches of figs to the neighbors.Ditto tomatoes. Hi output. We grew Goliath, Early Girl and cherry tomatoes. Did really well.I like the ease of use of these spikes. "Set it and forget it" (or pound it and forget it).I've used them for roses too.I will be buying more of these this spring.

Would Definitely Recommend
I was very happy with this product. We have a small rooftop gardening plot. We had tried growing tomatoes for two years with poor results, little growth on our 3 plants and small yield. I put some of these spikes in the soil about a month before I put in 3 tomato plants and our results were so much better than in the past. I'm definitely going to use more in the spring.

Red tomatoes
Used it late, monthes after planting in planter. But plant did have more blossoms week after use. Will try again next year with initial planting.

Best stuff I have ever used!
I've been growing tomatoes in both containers and in the ground. This has made an enormous difference in both. The plants are uniformly larger, greener and covered in blossoms and small tomatoes. Just so you can see the difference, attached are pictures of young unfed and fed tomatoes. The fertilized plants are much, much healthier... ;-)

NOT SO MUCH
Convenient to use...just stick the spikes around your tomato plant. However, there are far superior products available in granular form.

Your Tomatoes Will Thank You!
I grow A LOT of tomatoes, both in containers and in raised beds. I decided to purchase these tomato spikes for the plants in my raised bed this past year. I put one spike between each plant, making sure to space them at least 6 inches from the stem. Boy, did my tomatoes take off! One spike in the spring was all it took. I plan on using these again this coming year. The only thing that would make these better is an organic formula.
