The Firm: Body Sculpting Basics utilizes these same aerobic and anaerobic components to create a 60-minute workout that promotes strength and stamina. Instructor Susan Harris presents simple dance-style aerobic combinations and weightlifting techniques that are sure to make you break a sweat. This video is somewhat dated (lots of '80s-style leg warmers and traditional dance aerobic movements), but the content is so stellar that it would more appropriately be coined as a fitness classic. Pliés, squats, and split-leg lunges work the major muscles of the lower body, while lateral raises, curls, and push-ups concentrate on the upper body. Light weights (5 to 8 pounds) are used throughout this workout, and a set of ankle weights may be helpful if you are looking for a challenge. Cueing comes quickly and Harris does not give much information on form or body alignment. Therefore, beginners should watch the informational portion of this video (the segment immediately before the workout) in order to train as confidently and safely as possible. This Firm Workout is a keeper !
This was a replacement purchase. I just had to get another one because when i do this workout , i see constant results .My endurance , strength, and stamina is extremely improved since i've been doing this workout 3 times a week(mon, wed and sat mornings and after work) No gym membership needed for me! Sandahl never dissappoints with this one, and she keeps me lean with endurance for days!!

classic firm
this 62 minute workout is difficult but doable. I love the beautiful set and the pleasant music. I use my mini-trampoline as my step and I do the jogging aerobics on the trampoline also. The instructor is calm and encouraging. I rotate this workout with other firm workouts. I purchased this used on vhs tape so I paid very little for the workout.

One of the Best Fitness Tapes EVER!!!
If you are really serious about getting back into shape, the Firm Classic Workout Series is the BEST! This was the first program to use step aerobics and weights with cardio. These tapes (DVDs) have kept me in shape into my mid-40s. I started using them when I graduated from college in the early 90s and nothing has worked better for me!

The Firm workout Video
I love The Firm workouts! They are intense and very challenging; you can 'grow into' them. I have all of the VHS videos from then 80's and they are just as great now as they were then. If you want a killer body, then The Firm is for you!!!!

GREAT WORKOUT!!
Love it!! great work out I am drench by the time am done working out. Like that you do cardio with the option to use weights. Have lost weight and firmed up.

Great Workout!!
I have always rated firm videos much higher than the rest (especially the older tapes/videos). This is a great head to toe video that's lots of fun. I love her energy. Just like other firm videos, you really do see results within 10 days.
