The lights draw .77 amps at 122v. . . 93.94w fixture. . . To give an idea of brightness the PB-105 has 15 foot candles at 10 ft. A 23w CFL has 5 foot candles at 10 ft. I think as long as you know the photometrics of the lamp before the application, it will serve it's purpose. . .I set the lamp inside a 36" china ball. I think it produces decent color in a 20' X 20' area. I see this fixture being used more heavily for accent, aesthetic, or if power is restricted.

So far I have ordered 2 sets (you have to order them one set at a time which is a pain in the but) they are nice bulbs. I would have given them 5 stars but one of the bulbs didnt work (3 out of 4 total did work fine), now I have to ship them back. Got an RMA number no problem. Also to get free shipping you need to buy one other thing for 50 cents. They are nice heavy big bulbs recommend them so far have had them for about two weeks. Will be ordering another 2 sets once I get the broken one refunded.

I bought this pair of alleged 105 watt/400 watt equal bulbs to replace four 23 watt/100 watt equal cfl bulbs and they are not nearly as bright as the bulbs they replaced. One of these bulbs should be as bright as the four they replaced, yet the two of them together are not even close to being as bright as the four small bulbs.

These bulbs come on instantly and are very bright. The manufacturer claims each bulb produces as much light as a 400w incandescent, but I could find no reference to lumens. Comparable lamps claim around 6000-7000 lumens.FYI: I'm not a photographer. I bought these bulbs to simulate sunshine indoors to help relieve Seasonal Affective Disorder. For me, using bright high frequency bulbs like this definitely helps. (5000-6500K)The manufacturer packages the pair well, so damage in transit seems rather unlikely.The only other thing I would mention is that the bulbs are ginormous! I've seen large fluorescent bulbs before, but never this big. 11 inches long (including the socket) and 4 inches in diameter. That's BIG! The base itself measures 3-1/2" in diameter. As each bulb consumes 105 watts, be sure there is sufficient ventilation. The electronics inside CFLs are sensitive to heat, so I wouldn't put these inside any sort of enclosed receptacle--assuming you could find one big enough to fit!

Very good bulbs, they throw off a great deal of light, instant on, and generate very little heat.I use them for photography but am ordering more for garage lights.Be aware these bulbs are very large and will not fit in discount fixtures with the smaller reflectors.

This fits in a regular light socket and brightens any day with good UV light helping seasonal depression in any room. Great price too.

These are Photography bulbs, but I just needed some bright bulbs for my garage. You can't beat the light output for the wattage being used and the price. I was looking at having to put in new light fixtures to get any decent lighting in my garage. However, a couple of these and I get a ton of crisp white in the entire garage. They are HUGE so make sure you have plenty of room for them.

These bulbs are extremely bright. They get mildly hot during use, but I can still put my hand on them without getting burned. I've ordered 4 light bulbs from LimoStudio (through Amazon) and so far none of them have shown up broken. Kudos to Amazon for packing these properly.
