Not As Shown
The ‘window’ to returned this CLOSED, so I’m stuck with it now. Don’t buy this, as the picture is deceiving! It’s TINY! There is no darn way that you’re getting a head of cabbage & anything else on this skewer! Perhaps what is shown is a tiny cherry tomato & a large Brussel sprout? Not worth the price charged at all.

Rod is very short.
The picture shows a cabbage and a tomato on the rod, but it can't even accomodate a cabbage without digging out the top of the cabbage. There is no spike/point on the rod so putting something like a tomato on it can be messy. I will use a grinder to put a small point on it which should not effect the threads. Rod can be cleaned easily, the chain not so much. The 2 star thickness rating is based solely on the lack of a point to push the rod thru items. This item will still serve its purpose but is not as good as I'd hoped.

Chain broke as I took it out of package
The concept is great. The cheap chain is not. The skewer part is fine for light fruit and I tied string to it and can use it that way just fine. If you expect that that is what you're paying for all is good. IF you think the chain is part of the working deal you will be disappointed. I wouldn't buy it again at this price, but I do like how it keeps fruit off the ground and entertains the hens, and us, while they peck away.

It's okay... won't really recommend
Bought this for my chicken. My chickens were just afraid of it as they are in a box at night and during the winter time. They did not really eat the cabbage. Is it a product issue to design something different or just something that just don't work. with my chicken? It's a super thin/flat iron stick. To me, not worth the price.. - I won't recommend it...

A good idea just needs to be a bit longer for more items
I love the treat trees. My chickens love a treat tree. They go crazy over them. So I ordered this hoping they would enjoy it. It works, however I really wish it was a bit longer so I could put more on it. The wing nut on the end is a bit tricky with sticky fingers.... The chickens have gotten it off a few times as well but somehow I have always found it. I am not sure what could be an improvement there.

Works well for our chickens
This easy to use skewer provides an effective way to offer chicks a fresh treat - such as a head of lettuce- without having to leave it on the ground. Be carful though; the nut and twist bolt are small so could present a choke hazard or be easily lost in a pile of straw. But the hardware is secure and not likely to come off if well fastened.

Happy With Purchase!
Ordered on 9/28 and arrived on 10/1. Excellent timeframe and before expected! I just received the two I ordered today so I have not tried them yet. I didn’t pay attention to the length of the bar, and bought for a pumpkin. If there was a larger one made the same way that would hold a pumpkin I would probably try it. Can’t wait to put it in for my girls. Very happy with purchase! And I would buy again.

Happiest Chickens in Town
This is the single best thing we have ever bought our chickens. It is very easy to use and the chickens get so excited whenever we put a new head of lettuce on it.
