Limited to Soft Meats/Steaks
I have tried this item on various meats. For steaks it is great - tenderises them beautifully and no complaints. But for tougher meats ie pork belly rind, I don't think this tool made any holes at all. I couldn't see any, and none were evident after cooking. So for pork belly I am still using a sharp knife.Ideal for steaks, but no good for anything more resistant.4 stars however for beautiful steaks.

Disappointing
Bought this as like the vast majority of people if you roast pork then you want crispy crackling, sorry to say it just doesn't work on pork joints ,the only thing it does is make your arms ache from trying. Slightly better results on pork rind that is separated from the meat but only slightly. Cheap enough but still disappointed that it didn't do what I,d hope it would.

It wirks
As yet no complaints . It does a good job of tenderising the meat and also opened it out out to let the marinade in. I am happy

DISGUSTING..contamination at it's best.
ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTING--->I used this and no matter how hard I tried I was unable to completly remove all the liquid/juice.The liquid seeps into the mechanism then releases next time used.It seems to get into the spring mechanism. No matter what I tried I could not stop it happening. This is totally unhygenic and the worst kitchen product I have ever bought.Going back for a refund.CROSS CONTAMINATION at it's best.

Fills with water.
There is no way to clean this without it filling with water, given that you are penetrating deep into meat with the spikes there is a significant bacterial risk.
