It flies
Question: what's a kite supposed to do? If you said fly, then this kite is a winner. If you're thinking 'be fun', maybe - maybe not. In my experience both as a kid and later with our own kids, and grandkids, kites often weren't a lot of fun. The wind would be too light, too strong or too unpredictable. Tails too long, too short or missing. Strings tangled or parts broken, we've all been there at one time or another. But when they work, they work and you get a few moments that some might call fun. Shortly after that a successfully flying kite, a kite that works, a kite that's fulfilling it purpose, quickly becomes something similar to boring - not to mention a bit of a pain in the neck. I'm in my mid-seventies and flew this kite for the first time today at Padre Island National Sea Shore in Coastal Texas. The breeze was off-shore, steady and light to moderate. This kite flew instantly, quickly climbed almost vertically to a couple hundred and happily stayed there after being anchored in place with no input from me or anyone else. It hung there for over three hours tied to our pick-up and would probably still be airborne if I hadn't finally reeled it down. Did it fly? You betcha! Was it fun? No one hardly gave it a glance. I don't think you'd be disappointed or become discouraged with this kite whether on your own or with others of any age, it just works. Fun? Well that open to interpretation. No computer savvy kid is ever going to enjoy any kite for very long, even when they fly. But if you're like me and can still find some reward in simpler things, this kite will not disappoint.

If there’s wind, it will fly
This is a great kite!! Purchased for a sentimental trip to Lake Michigan, I wanted a simple kite that I knew wouldn’t require a lot of skill, nor need a lot of attention/effort once it was aloft. This kite was perfect for the trip. It fit in my suitcase (barely) and was very, very easy to assemble. I purchased a reel and line for use with this kite, to be reviewed separately. Once aloft, the kite was simple and lots of fun. Here is where it was great: when it got stuck in a tree. Climbing the tree, although seriously considered, was out of the question. There was no option other than brute-force yanking the kite out of the tree. We had it attached to a VERY sturdy reel and line, so having no other option, we got the kite out of the tree. The plastic rods were sufficiently flexible to withstand such abuse. I honestly thought we would need to disconnect the reel and count the kite a complete loss and lesson learned, but the kite returned with us to fly another day on another adventure. You’re never too old to feel the thrill of flying a kite. This is perfect if you just want to fly a kite sometimes....

Wants to fly
This kite wants to fly and spent more time in the air than on the ground. It did hit the ground a few times without any damage. Getting it to stay on the ground to put it away was the hard part.. because the wind ripped it out of my hands and back into the air so many times! I suggest you take the strut cross bar out asap to get it to stay out of the air. This was the perfect kite for our young family and now we look forward to gusty days. Btw, it sowed back in its case perfectly so easy storage and came with an extra strut and extra tail. The only reason this kite lost a star was because attaching the string to the kite was very difficult and ripped up my nails. It was the type of clasp used that made it difficult.

Yes it is an easy fly kite.
I purchased 2 of these to go kite flying with an 8 and 11 year old who had never done this before. As advertised they were easy to put together and the bag with the little carry handle a nice touch. In light winds they both launched easily and 1 one them flew and stayed up to the end of the string without any issues, the other one was a bit more erratic and tended to dive wildly, a balance issue that I will remedy next time with a tiny bit extra weight on the opposite side. Snagged a tree twice and let the wind lift this very light kite clear, a dunk in a lake was a trickier retrieval but it was up flying again immediately despite being wet. Overall a fun little beginners kite, both of these easily outperformed another similar beginners kite flown by people close by. People watching asked where to buy one from, so this a good sign. The addition of spare parts and snap lock fishing swivels was also a good idea. Only dropped 1 star because of the balance issue on one of the kites and wonder if the side struts should be attached to the center strut rather than being loose would be a more balanced design. Overall I think this a very good kite and the kids loved them.

Great fun for the kids, we love it
Your child we will be very happy when this great big box arrives and out comes this very neatly packed kite in a really cool carrying case. It really is as simple to assemble and reminds me of the bat kites I flew as a kid I bought at 7-11 back in the early to mid 70'es only this one isn't anything near the flimsy plastic ones we bought as kids, I wish I had one of these growing up! It's construction is as described very well made, light weight, kid proof, and easy for little fingers, although the fishing style clip that is used to connect the line to the kite is not very kid friendly and took some time to get over the grommet and fabric material before finally attaching the line to the kite so your kids might need some help there, but other than that you will receive your moneys worth of fun and enjoyment, I did and my love it

Unbelievable performance for a no name kite!
I needed a couple of single line kites when we were getting together with friends and looked around and saw this Delta kite. I was unsure of this no name brand kite, but after reading the reviews, I figured I would try it. Got the kite in the usual speedy time but when the day came, the winds were forecast as calm. When we arrived, I noticed there was a beach close by. We took our kite and there was a slight breeze. Hooked on the string and up it went. What fun. I have tried it several time now with several different wind speeds and can tell you, at least to me, it seems to fly a bit better than my Prism Zenith 5 Delta kite I also bought. Both kites fly fine, but for a little less money, you should enjoy this kite for a lifetime.
