Got this for my nephew who wanted to go into the pool without getting water into his ears. He loved the product.

Swim caps did not prevent water from getting in. I had soaked hair and waterlogged ears after 2 laps. They didnt do their job consistently.

I got this swimming cap for my 17 year son. He swims five days a week, as part of a team. It did not work for him, he informed me of the following: "competitive swimmers are accustomed to thin and very tight Silone caps" and this cap is just too big and thick.The cap is on the larger side, so someone with very long hair (or a black/ African American woman with braids/cornrows) might find the cap easier to put on compared to a traditional cap. These caps are very thick with a nice lip around the edge making it less likely to tear compared to traditional thin silicone caps. The lip makes it also easier to grab when pulling it down over your head, andthey have a unique shape. These are not in the traditional bowl form.The two caps come in a think plastic storage bag that can be reseal. Rating? Really dependent on how someone would use the cap but if you are looking for a sturdy cap with ear coverage, this is the cap for you.

Our family is a swimming family, except I stink at it. My wife has been a rockstar swimmer all her life, so when our oldest kid was four she banned together with a bunch of other neighborhood moms and launched a youth swim league at our HOA pool. I ended up being pulled into the league because I'm a good husband and dad, and I ended up being president for 17 years. Lucky for us, she had rebelled, quit competitive swimming, grew out her hair, and started started looking for boys by the time I came along in college. I'm a sucker for long hair and she has had gorgeous thick long hair since I met her in the 80s.Unknown to me, the long hair made it really tough for her to fit her cap on right. (She's not a complainer.) This bigger fuller cap allows her to fit ALL of her hair inside, and it doesn't look bunched up.Thanks to this cap, my wife has been able to bump up her swimming routine and put in tons of laps during the pandemic.
