Wonderful computer, when it works correctly!
I am trying really hard to like this computer. Right now I have an i7-6700K and 16GB G.Skill 2400 SDRAM in it (I know the K-processor is overkill, but I wanted an i7 and the 6700K runs stock at 4.0GHz which is important for my applications). This is a beautifully designed computer and provides everything except a large power supply for running a high end GPU board in it. For my applications, the Intel graphics in the Skylake i& are more than enough (no game playing here). I've put in a Samsung 500GB M2 card, a 1TB SSD, and a 2TB HDD, and everything hardware-wise works well. When the box is operating properly everything flies, and the M2 performance is the best I've seen in a Skylake system (I've built 3 including this one). The problem is that it doesn't often operate correctly. I have had two of them purchased from Amazon. The first one came DOA, in that neither the Display Port or HDMI connectors supplied any video, at all, to the monitor. The one Amazon sent as a replacement has this video flashing problem that is intermittent. The computer sometimes stops sending video to the monitor (causing the monitor to flash a box saying it isn't receiving video). It does this video flashing for about two minutes after turning it on. Then it settles down for about 10-15 min then gives one prolonged flash. After that a flash will occur intermittently, sometimes after hours of correct operation. In several troubleshooting sessions (totaling over 6 hrs), I determined that the computer functioned properly with only one SDRAM stick in it, and it didn't matter which of the sticks, and which Blue slot it was in. Putting the second stick in caused the flashing to reoccur. I ordered a second pair of RAM sticks from Amazon and they arrived yesterday. After putting the new sticks in the flashing still occurs on startup, and there is a flash after about 15 min, and then it settles down and I've used it for as long as two hrs without a flash. However, even when I convince myself that it has fixed itself, a flash does eventually reoccur. I'm considering sending the second box back and replacing it again, but I've decided to play with it for a couple weeks to see how tolerable the problem is. As I said, I love the build and I want it to work like all the Shuttles I've built in the past work. I'll keep updating this review as I try to get this resolved. If it weren't for the flashing video, I'd give this box 10 stars out of five. As it sits now, one star is generous.-----------Update 7/23/2017: I have been using this computer in my home office now for over a year. I am changing my overall review from one-stat to five-stars. Since it returned from Shuttle repair, it has functioned flawlessly. This is a zippy little computer. It is almost dead silent. It sits atop my desk, about 2 ft from my head and when the central AC is off, I can barely hear the fan. I was an early adopter of this computer, and it is probable that Shuttle didn't have all the bugs out on the early units. I would definitely buy this again if the current one dies for any reason.

C A U T I O N : Shuttle Has NO Customer Service and Does Not Provide Parts
In June of 2016 I bought one of these and gave it 5 stars. That motherboard was destroyed in a failed flash boot that initiated a flash when I had NO video and had no idea what was happening. The BIOS did not initialize the graphics card. The result was that after 30 or so seconds I killed the power to see what was going on. That step killed the BIOS EEPROM and the motherboard. I have purchased these boxes for over ten years and in the past had great support from Shuttle. NOT NOW. I spent two weeks trying to make a support contact and PURCHASE a replacement mother board. I tried 6 phone calls and four emails. I they stopped responding after the reply to the second email. This is a really nice computer but I would not recommend Shuttle to anyone if they are buying their first time. They look like a company going out of business. I had little choice but to buy a replacement barebones system and throw out 80% of the purchase. Unless I wanted to rebuild my system and software. That is a 2-3 day operation for my system after all the updates and registration problems are resolved.

BIOS 1.25 Fix All Problem!
Update 3/10/2016All problem fixed with new BIOS 1.25 dated 2/2/2016.Erik at Shuttle USA help minor screw problem and send replace by Fedex.I change rate to 4. Thanks!Below is old post____________I never write reviews but I should share almost 2 month experience with this.I got this SH170R6 last year end and replace two times and I just return final 3rd one to refund. It was tested with i7-6700K, i7-6700, i5-6600, i3-6400 and 8, 16, 32GB with various DDR4. Also inboard Intel HD 530 and Nvidia 970 4G.So far this Shuttle is only small PC accept 4 desktop type DDR4 go maximum 64GB. And spec is very good.My case It is OK, it will not OC as H170 chipset. All as looks as Shuttle quality excepts plastic CPU cooler holder. But unexpected frequent irregular screen and system freezing is bad situation.BIOS update not fix that and update drivers not fix also. It must be some problems on this barebone itself. As Intel recommend I did CPU testing all my CPUs pass. And all components move to MSI Nightrider X2, MI2 and X170 MSI mini ITX Board which all works without any system freezing.I waste $ & hours and left CRDOM, RAM, USB/COM addon, 500W PSU,Wifi card and Antenna,That I realize on some other barebones come with as builtin. I original plan was just one nice one but and up 4 Skylake PC and one set of 6700K/32G/2TSSD shopping to house. All start with this XPC SH170R6, it wake up my bad barebone assembly hobby.I still run 17+ year old Shuttle XPCs with Windows XP for my job tools which only run on XP drivers. Durable no problems on so many years.Shuttle will fix problems on this production of model soon but it cools down my trust on Shuttle brand. I hope up coming SZ170R8 should good one to put back most of part except new LG CDROM.Amazon service is great, return replace twice. And wait to see final return will refund. Return will delivery Las Vegas return center today.Unlike other return this not refund on UPS pickup scan, so curiously watching how it handles. But I do not worry, in case mess, friendly Amazon customer service 888-280-3321 will help.Update 3/1/2016Shuttle US response, I give my DDR4 list for make sure this system's specific problem exist.I am plan to get one to check new 1.25 BIOS update solve my problems. I make one more star for effort of customer service.Amazon refund I have call to get refund, It is always make them confuse with replacement. Now on I must not to accept replacement, always place as one new order. Service person is nice but first person promise to full refund but deduct two times restocking fee which never mentioned. Second person fix that. I did spend good two phone call to do get refund. Nice service personal but a training and system pinhole.

I love Shuttle computers and this was going to replace my ...
I love Shuttle computers and this was going to replace my current Shuttle. It was a shame I had to return it because there appeared to be a video problem in the unit I had. I was also disappointed to find there was no SPDIF header on the motherboard. I had always considered that just standard equipment. Obviously Shuttle saved 3 cents by not soldering those two pins on the board.

No arranca.
