Works great, pets love it, but hard to beam onto the floor
My dogs and cat love this thing, and I have had good results with both the battery and the usb options. The battery lasted over a week, but with something you can never really turn off, I found this unsustainable. My old dog who isn't very bright has decided that any time I'm distracting the puppy he wants me to turn on the laser kitty for him so he can play by himself in peace, which is a huge step for him. Luckily it's very easy to activate any time. You click the button on the back and it comes to lie immediately. What I will say here is that the instructions for changing the speed mode are worded a bit funny. There is only one button, and the pattern it lives on is: slow, off, fast, off, slow, etc. So if you have it et to slow, it will automatically come on by itself as a slow circle. If your pet begs for it now and you click it on, you have just turned on fast mode by manually activating it. If you want it to stay slow, you must click the button 3 times. The circle pattern is just complex enough that it fascinates the pets, but is relatively predictable for people. It's decent, but it could be more versatile.I think the timer is a bit wonky, as it feels very inconsistent. The box and the instructions can't agree on how long it stays dormant before turning back on, but it DOES come back on regularly (even in an empty motionless room). While running it has a faint whirring sound. I'm pretty sound sensitive, and this is right on the border of annoying for me, but it's tolerable. No one else in my house notices or cares about the sound. The thing is smaller than expected. It measures fine, it just looks little. I guess they say it's portable so it makes sense, but I was still surprised. My big complaint is that getting it placed up high enough to be out of tail-range casts the beam too far away from the base. We have a fairly large living room, and I was disappointed that putting it at the top of the TV was not functional. It cast the beam onto the couch and I could not adjust it low enough to keep it on the floor between couch and TV when up on a 5-6' shelf. Equally frustrating was the coffee table height option, which stretched out the beam so much that instead of a circle it was a very narrow oval that STILL ran the dogs up onto the couch. Only at a height of about 3 feet does this produce a reasonably placed/sized/proportioned circle to fit in the middle of a living room. Oddly, the upward adjustment is really functional. I have it on its lowest setting, but it can easily run halfway across the ceiling if I want.I bough this a few months back and so far it has held up just fine being on constantly. All in all it's worth it, but I don't trust the product info much!Pros:inexpensiveUSB/battery optionspattern is good for engaging petsfairly quiet operation (silent while dormant)Automatically turns on at reasonable intervalsSleek and compactCons:seemingly unpredictable timingadjustment isn't very good at pointing at the floorwhirring sound while operatingno option to turn off the auto activation

Best kitty cat sitter ever!!! Even includes exercising!! 🤣🤣
We purchased this interactive toy for our two very energetic 10-year-old Bengals. Even though our cats are older they want to play constantly. There’s only so many hours a day I can take swinging a toy in front of them, or playing fetch which is hard on my shoulders!!!So we decided there had to be a better way of keeping them entertained throughout the day, without it being us all of the time. We found a very cool and fun interactive laser toy, which is even cuter because it comes in the shape of an adorable kitty!!This toy needs to be placed up high so your kitties won’t get to it. Oh wait - that’s a joke when it comes to Bengals because they will jump to the highest points in your house just because they can. So To be honest, we haven’t really found a super safe spot yet to leave it when we’re not around.🤣. We both work from home so it’s really not an issue.I’d like to share with you some fun things about this toy. You can be assured of your kitties being entertained by your new kitty cat sitter for 15 minutes every 1-1/2 hours!! They will get an amazing workout running after the circles it draws for them to chase. Unfortunately, with our two, enough is never enough! The first few days with this toy, the smaller one (15 lbs) was unbelievably obsessed with it. Every time the 15 minutes ended he would hunt for it to make it start again. The only real problem we had was that he was coming out every 15 minutes and screaming at us because he wanted to play with this new toy and it only worked for 15 minutes out of every 1-1/2 hours. This went on for several days! I was almost thinking we were going to have to buy 2 more so that they would run at least 45 minutes out of every 1-1/2 hours!!This toy has 5 adjustable circling ranges and 2 different speeds with an irregular 360 degree laser so you can continually change things around. This toy is small enough that you can take it just about anywhere with you. After 15 minutes it will automatically turn off. After being off for 1-1/2 hours, when motion is detected, it will then turn on automatically for another 15 minutes. This is a great toy to help keep your kitties happy and exercising. The only problem is they will want a few more🤣🤣. Our kitties absolutely love this toy and I love giving my shoulders a break from having to play with them ❤️You will definitely be their favorite human if you get this toy for your kitty!!!PS Sorry for the tea mark on the box. Oops!!

Wears my kitten out
The media could not be loaded. I have a young male kitten is that is super hyper and has an endless amount of energy. He is literally a crazy cat. He is not afraid of anything and plays with my full grown American bullies. One of them is in this video. She is my oldest female and she loves my kitten. But as you could see in the video the light works good in this is on the slow setting. The light traveling around can be set to go faster on the higher setting. Both my dogs and kitten chase this light. I leave it on the floor and sometimes pointed against the wall and let them chase it around. Sometimes I hold it in my hand on the couch or in bed and play with the kitten. the good thing about this site as you can choose to let it go on auto or just hold it in your hand and have fun with it. It's programmed to take a lot of different directions and it really keeps my kitten engaged while searching for the light. Working him out like this makes him take really deep and long naps. Which means less time 2 scratch on things I don't want him scratching on. Way to trim his nails with a human nail clipper but but certain kittens like this one you really need to exhaust them so they get a workout. My younger bullies enjoy it too. My six year old bully in the video enjoys watching the kitten play. She mom has the kitten like it's her own puppy.

Hit and miss
One cat likes it which is good. But it isn't truly random, it's goes in a circle and then reverses, pauses, alternates, etc. 4 X AA batteries which need charging every couple of days. But good build quality and looks nice. Cat is interested 50% of the time but need to move it to new areas and change the degree of tilt (4 angles available)
