Numenera Character Sheets

I remember back in the 80s, the only way to have nice, official, slick looking character sheets were to buy TRS branded sheets. If I remember correctly, they weren't terribly expensive, but the pack/booklet didn't include too many, and they were bound in such a way that you had to be very careful when you removed them to keep from tearing the edges. And back then, there was no way to make copies at home, there were few places around that would make copies for you, and it was an expensive proposition. If you were lucky like me, you had an aunt who worked at an office and was able to make a stack for you on the sly.Fast forward to today, and while most RPG publishers will still happily take your money for a set of physical sheets (like these), most provide free PDFs that you can easily download and print at home. So why ever buy them? Fair question.I guess it's partly an indulgence, and partly a harkening back to nostalgia, but I still like official sheets when they're available. These are quite nice. There are 50 sheets included, which is quite generous compared to what are typically included in a set like this. They are bound at the top very much like a pad of paper, and each tears off easily and with minimal risk of tearing the edges. They are double sided, and sectioned off in a way that allows you to fold it into thirds. They are in color, but the colors are minimal and subdued. Nothing terribly fancy, but it's sufficient and seems to work with the game's overall vibe/motif.As a nice bonus, the pad comes "wrapped" in a glossy cover sort of like a dust jacket. While seemingly disposable, on the inside it includes all of the steps needed to create a character from scratch.In summary, while a completely unnecessary indulgence, these sheets do provide a bit more value compared to character sheet sets offered by other RPG publishers.

As with all Monte Cook Games products, this one is well produced, attractive and sturdy. Players are going to be writing and erasing things on their character sheets pretty much all the time, so the paper here is heavy enough to take that. They're all printed double-sided for easy folding into a 3-fold.

I really enjoy these sheets, they are nicely detailed and just what I need for taking them to various conventions and gaming groups. While I can print more sheets I enjoy having them in a peel apart pad as it keeps them together nicely.

Perfect! High-quality hard paper that can deal with several erasers before starting to fade or crumple, good quality ink. The perfect character sheets.

Just what I need to really get into Numinera! But I expected it to be double fold for some reason, like in the book.
