Great value
The perfect set of worms to start composting with. Mine have been working hard since I got them and I expect them to multiply in not too long. Shipped fast. Arrived in great shape. They’re very durable worms. Great price for how many worms come in the bag.

great service! good worms!
The worms arrived packaged well. We were not home for several hours...the box got rained on, but the fabric bag inside was dry and sealed well. The worms were lively and doing well. There were clear instructions on how to add them to them compost bin. I was pleased with the seller and would highly recommend them again.

Not just red wigglers
First things first this is my first adventures in buying worms online. So excuse me if the review isn’t super detailed. I bough two separate orders. I ordered one first and then realized I might need more worms to fill my bin and ordered another box the next day. 1. Packaging was great. Came in two days shipped by FedEx. Both came at the same time despite two different order dates. It looks nothing like this box in the photo. They came in their own separate black fabric bags in FedEx boxes with holes punched in them. The worms came in what look like coconut coir. With inductions with a discount for next purchase as well as and FAQ and how to probably rehabilitate your worms after shipping. 2. They were all alive and squirming :) 3. Appeared to be the correct anoint of worms per bag so I don’t think I got cheated in any way 4. Now this item is 100 count ~*MIX*~ of worms. I thought I would get only red wigglers because the image shows a box that says “Red wigglers live from uncle Jim’s worm farm”. Now maybe I did get a few, but it appears like I mostly got blue worms. Still composting worms, but all my research and for my climate I would have preferred red wigglers as they are apparently more forgiving in care. 5. They’re were a few mites (red, white, brown ones) here and there in the coir. Not a huge deal, but as a newbie I would prefer no mites because I don’t know all the ins and out of dealing with them. Over all I’m satisfied. I contacted the company through the their website and they offered me a small discount for the confusion of the type of worms I bought(super kind of them) and links on controlling mites. Here’s their response to the issue on the worm mix: “Our worm mix does contain Perionyx Excavatus, which is also called the Blue Worm. We do not have control over the mix and what worms dominate it in each batch. The worms are all in the beds together. Sometimes is it more of the other species.” Over all I’m happy! I didn’t get a bag of dead worms and got fast responses from customer service. Just be aware that if you want one type of species of worm this grab bag isn’t for you.

Happy healthy worms!
Very happy! The package arrived quickly, I followed the directions. Gave them water to revive them. I immediately saw them moving! I have individual compost buckets in my garden boxes. After a few weeks I moved the compost around and there they were! There were a-lot of them in different sizes! Some of them are getting fat and they are happy healthy red worms in their new home! I will definitely order again if needed.

These Little Red Wigglers Are Healthy and Multiplying!
This was my winter project. I do not have a yard, but I do raise spring/summervegetables in a deck garden. I wanted to experiment with composting. These worms are fabulous. I started my 5 gallon vermacomposting project in November. The worms are multiplying and and seem very healthy! They are rather small, but they are efficient little composters! They arrived in a little bag which I dumped into the bedding I'd prepared. Very easy to maintain! It's now February and I'm about to divide my herd and harvest compost as I already have three friends who would like some for their gardens! I might also add that Uncle Jim's Worm Farm has a wealth of information as well as great products. I'm absolutely happy with this company.

Healthy abundant worms for your composting
This is my first time to order live worms through the mail. I received these less than 48 hours from when they were sent, so though I couldn’t see any worms when I opened the bag, I followed directions and dumped a half a cup of water in and within an hour, I could see bunches of worms squirming around. I bought these worms for a worm composting bucket that I had sunk into the ground in my garden. I covered them with wet, shredded paper and then with some produce scraps; and I’m hoping for the best. If they don’t do well, it will not be the fault of this product because the worms were healthy when I received them. I hope they will do well in the worm bucket that I have gotten for them. Do be aware that they recommend you put these worms in the bin or wherever you are going to use them in the ground right away. So, when you order these keep in mind that you can’t wait a week to use them. You have to be ready to use them when you get them. Fortunately, since mine were only two days in transit when I got them, I put them in a dark room at room temperature and waited another day to put them out. But this would’ve been very stressful for them, had they been shipped several days earlier. I recommend this brand. Five stars.

Slightly concerned
All of my worms were alive and are thriving. However, I found a fly pupae and also this weird white thing that kind of looks like a maggot with little legs??

Came with ants(?) and was dry
My worms sadly arrived dead to the point that ants were roaming about and made their way inside the bag. At least I am assuming the ants were from our step but they could’ve came with the worms? Not too sure about that yet. I would blame the heat since it was hot but I did as instructed and attempted to hydrate them but not one came out alive. I waited for an entire day and another to make sure before giving up. The price isn’t bad but I would’ve hoped at least 1/3rd of the worms would’ve made it. Would I reorder? Maybe, but I would advise on not expecting all 100 worms to be healthy or alive to be realistic. Size: All worms appeared to be thin enough to snap and looked small. Quality: Would I reorder? Maybe, but I would advise on not expecting all 100 worms to be healthy or alive to be realistic. Appearance: Worms looked dried out and soil seemed on the drier side as well. Waited to see if hydrating them made a difference and it sadly did not.
